I will also be wearing a black dress for formal night- maybe we should all get our picture made with them on!!

How do I request a time? Do I call or wait until I board?
I would not worry about being under dressed for formal night. A black dress is always dressy enough and you see people VERY dressed and those just dressed comfortably. I like to dress up on the cruise because I never get to any other time. Some people are so worried about what others wear. There were some posts about flip flops. Well my feet are always killing me, so I can no longer wear all the high heeled pointy toed shoes I could not do without for years. Many night I wear some type of flip flop in the dining room-sorry to anyone offended by it. the only time I was really bothered by what someone wore was on formal night when the people at the next table were all in shorts and the husband had on a sleeveless tight t shirt (it did not do anything for him)--sort of ruined the atmosphere a little for me, but, oh well.
Call- I did a couple of weeks ago. It's not guaranteed- but it's worth a shot.![]()
Ok, I will do that, thanks for the info!
I do not know how to put several quotes in, so here goes:
Welcome to the new cruiser.
Disneyfans...where do you live? My Aunt lives in Fort Worth..maybe I should call her? Hope all is ok there.
My hair is also always in the ponytail or up with a clip. I have real curly hair & when were on the ship before with the humidity...WOW! It was up or total frizz!

I thought they did away with the staggered times.
Here's hoping we get a great server-I think that makes so much of a difference in the whole cruise experience.
My hair is terribly frizzy with the humidity and wind-plus I am hair challenged-so it usually a pony tail for me on the cruise and always at home.
Lots of people wear flip flops, but some have posted they are not appropriate for the dining room-guess they will have to avoid staring at my feet.
Too funny, if people are staring at your feet, they have bigger problems!![]()
I was actually thinking of wearing long shorts, to my knees or so, the first day so I don't have to worry about all 4 of us having to get ready for dinner. We have early seating. Think this will be ok? The shorts are kind of like capris (sp?)
I think that would be fine.
Stephanie, I saw your post on the main thread of your pics of the castaway club gift.. can you tell me if the bag they give you is lined...to put food, water bottles in that they were keep? Hope I explained myself![]()
I called the TA yesterday to see about adding a friend for DD and wouldn't you know it that the friend will have turned 13 by the time of the cruise (but is 12 now). I'd pay the price to add the 12 year old so that DD could have a companion, but it doubles the instant she turns 13. I don't know about you, but a 13 (or 14 or 15 y.o....) doesn't eat, drink, or consume any more services than a 12 y.o. And since they now don't go to the stack until they are 14 on the Magic, I should think a case could be made that they should still be charged kids rates until then.. (ok, so I am not a lawyer!) Somewhat aggrivating. (Yes, I know that they magically become adults after 9 y.o. at the parks which is equally bogus, IMO.)
My DD is 13 & we had to pay adult price for her, too! I too, think it is crazy, but what are going to do.
