6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

In response to those who asked .... our cabin nos. are

2011 and 2021

We can't wait!!! Leaving Thursday a.m.:thumbsup2

Good morning all!!!! We are having the same issue with Megan's clothes...she has her 2 dresses, one skirt and one pair of capris... I just hate to spend more money on dressier stuff (ie non jean capris) that she won't wear much after the cruise, know what I mean?? We might run out today and look for something else for her though...seems like the shopping never ends!! I am thinking maybe jean capris would be ok on pirate night??

I am ALMOST done with my FE gifts.... I want to box and send them out on Monday to our Orlando hotel...

I WILL pack today and tomorrow...I will I will!!! I can't believe we will be boarding the ship ONE WEEK FROM TODAY!!!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!:yay::yay:

Have a great weekend everyone!!! :goodvibes

My Megan has 2 dresses and 2 capris. Then I just packed extra shirts to go with the capris. You really only wear those clothes to Dinner and usually change right after.... don't sweat the clothes. Mostly you will end up going home with clothes you haven't even worn. I tell my daughter, noone will ever remember you wore the same pants 3 days ago... If she doesn't believe you ask what her best friend wore 3 days ago.

I don't want to freak out yet as things change, but has anyone looked at the weather for our trip?? I looked on weather channel and it is 60% rain when we are in Key West and a percentage in both Grand Cayman and Cozumel!!!

I was telling my husband that I hope I packed enough sun screen and he said yeah watch it rains every day. Ha ha. Well, that's not Ha Ha if it comes true!!!

Here's to Pixie Dust over our cruise for good weather....:wizard:

I just checked the 10 day forecast, too. Every day in every port it is showing 60% chance of rain or more. HOWEVER, I live in FL and it rains EVERY day here, but usually only for a little bit. All of that humidity builds up until the atmosphere can't take it anymore and then it has to rain... at least that's my non-technical explanation.

However, now I am slightly concerned and will have to slip a sweatshirt in for DD & myself because I had being wet & cold. (please note that cold is anything less than 70 for us :upsidedow)

Just completed our online check-in for the Radisson:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I can't believe we are leaving in just 4 short days!!!!!!!!!!!!!    I have been checking the weather for Cape Canaveral as well on Friday & Saturday, weather is just so unpredictable and I have been checking it for about a week now and it changes so often, you'll never really know what its gonna be like til that day. I agree with you Donna, our weather is the same in VA, may get an afternoon thunderstorm due to the humidity from the day, and then bam it's sunny again :lmao: :lmao: I am just very very hopeful it doesn't rain on our sail away party, but even if it does I will be the one nut up on deck waving like a fool:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I have to do my online check in too, I'll do it tonight when I get home. Jordan graduates from kindergarten tomorrow, so I'll go to work afterwards, they're so easygoing there, not like my other place. I really can't believe we leave on Wednesday!! I got all of my reservations/cruise info/FE list/etc. and put it all in a 5 pocket brand new folder with tabs so I can label it. Why do they make stuff like that- it just makes me even more OCD about my vacation planning "issues".:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

My hairdresser's grandmother is in the hospital in NJ and now she won't be able to do my hair:confused3 I feel like I am being totally selfish, because I only want her to do my hair and now she can't:sad2: She can get someone else to do it but it's just not the same:sad1: This sucks.:sad2:

For anyone staying at the Radisson- did you all do the online check in?

Thanks for posting this, I didn't know about it, but now it's done!! Who knows with the shuttle launch it could be crazy there. I work today and Wednesday. Tomorrow we are packing and leaving Thursday night. Can't wait to be gone from all the stresses of life. A little bummed to read the reports of rain, hopefully they will be short showers if they do end up coming.

Yeah - weather can make or break a vacation. But..... if we make the most of whatever comes our way (which I'm sure most of us will) then we will have fun NO MATTER WHAT!!! RIGHT?? :flower3:

With all the complaints of the new menus - I guess this may be considered as good news. Someone just off the Magic (5/30) reported that the server told them that the new menus will start on June 20th.

I was actually looking forward to the new menus:rotfl: Oh well I'll try them on my next cruise:rotfl2: :lmao:

I'll just bring a case of Bud Lite Lime instead of a 12 pack!!

To me ~ this is a disappointment! I was looking forward to trying all the new items then being able to report back on them. :sad1: But one never knows... DCL can always change their mind.

FINALLY got Jayde to start packing something. She has out her formal/semi formal dresses (which both could be worn either way) & jammies. I told her she can probably wear whatever as long as I think it is appropriate. I know they state no tank tops BUT I have a dressy one that I will wear to show off my lovely flabby arms. :rotfl: I know DCL is NOT that strict on attire except for Palo.

Looked at the weather... hoping it changes. We have 40% chance of perfect weather!!

Does anyone know the Fury parasailing policy if they have to cancel due to weather? It is not like we can re-schedule for a later date/time.

:lmao::lmao: I don't think that they will care about a dressy tank top -- I have one with sequins that is darling and another one from Black House/White Market.

The weather report is typical (at least I keep telling myself that!!!). I'm doing a sun dance :dance3: cuz' I'm all pasty white and need a tan!!!

As several have mentioned, rain is a normal occurrence in Florida on a daily basis. It is also the same way around the Caribbean as well. When looking at weather.com, it shows "scattered showers" on Saturday and Sunday, for Port Canaveral and Key West. I take this to mean the typical short afternoon showers that Florida gets. While it says "showers" for Cozumel and Grand Cayman next week, I think its a little early for anything close to an accurate forecast. These can change a dozen times between now and then. Even the Florida forecast are likely to change some over the next few days. All we can do is hope and pray and make the best of what ever we get!! :goodvibes

They told me that if they cancel the flight, they would reinburse our credit card.
