6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

Hello, everyone! It has been a while since I've posted and I hope everyone is enjoying thier holiday weekend.

I have been absolutely worthless today. I had big plans to clean and start gathering things for the cruise but I can't get motivated. I did manage to buy my outfit for formal/Palo yesterday at Ross for $29.99! Also got DD a couple of cute sundresses at Aeropostale for $15. Will these be ok for dinner?

DD12 and I will be gone on a field trip to D.C. early Monday thru late Thursday (about 11pm) before our cruise. We plan to come in long enough to wash our clothes and repack and then head out to Cocoa Beach around 3-4am. Boy we are gonna be tired from the 10 hour bus ride home from D.C. then driving about 8-9 hours to Florida!! I posted on the main forum that DD and I will be looking for a place to get pedicures in Cocoa Beach on Friday afternoon. Shirley's helpful thread had a place called Diva's Nails listed. Does anyone else know of a nail salon here? Looking for a CLEAN place!:rolleyes1

Hey all- just checking in- we have been out and about today. Went to lunch and the mall. Got some cute flip flops for Jordan at the Disney store. They had some cute stuff there, but I didn't get anything for me.:sad2::rotfl2: I had to also get white ballet shoes for her recital costume- they are doing a dance from Wall-E- it's very "digitized". Anyway- the mall had lots of sales.

Neither daughter is doing well right now. Madison's immune system is worse the expected. Both girls are now being sent to different specialists. The doctors want to start Brooklyn on a medication with a lot of side effects. I am not ready to do it because we are supposed to be moving this summer. I do not feel comfortable if she is not monitored the whole way. Madison's surgery is going to happen right after we get back but before we move! :scared1: New rounds of immunology testing will start the morning we get back from the trip. I am sure I am leaving something out but thank you for asking! Things are crazy here like always! :)

I have not read the boards in a few days. I am sure I have missed a ton but I can't seem to find the time to sit down and read them. I hope all is well with everyone!

Stephanie- our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.:grouphug:

Oh, also, for those of you with boys around age 8, are they wearing a jacket to formal night? How about your DHs? Thanks!

My DH is wearing a jacket on formal night. My DD is wearing sundresses to dinner, too.

Stephaine, hope your girls will be ok!

Watching the DIY Disney Magic dry dock special while finishing laundry & printing magnets. What a way to finish the day!!!

I am looking at our suitcases & think we can get away while only 1 extra large one & then a medium one. I didn't realize how BIG the extra large suitcase actually was (it is within airline guidelines).

My DH is actually not wearing a suit jacket- he is wearing a tie though.:goodvibes We are coordinating our clothes for formal night- DH in a creme dress shirt, gold tie, black pants, DD in a gold and creme dress, me in a black dress, black shoes, gold accessories.:thumbsup2

Ok, glad to hear it! We are going to try and coordinate also. I just don't know if I will be able to get DH into a jacket but he is definitely wearing a tie.

DD and I had a great retail therapy day!!:goodvibes She found black shoes to go with her dress for formal night, plus got some tanks and sandals for the cruise. And some shorts and a maxi dress at Old Navy. I even found swim trunks for DS at American Eagle. DD really liked them - just hope he does too! (He spent the day hanging out with a friend and he's not home yet).
I even found a few things too, which I usually never buy for myself! I even had a 15 min back massage at the mall, and topped it off with dinner at our favorite chinese restaurant! Its been a good day! And I'm feeling better, to boot! :cool1:

DD and I did this yesterday, too! I know what you mean about never buying for yourself...I'm so guilty of this. Glad you're feeling better.:thumbsup2

DD wants to know if any of the other teens are dressing up for pirate night. She has a dress and some accessories that look good together, but she doesn't want to dress up if no other teens are. Not sure if my DS will. He is dressing up for formal night though in a suit. He actually enjoys dressing up! :goodvibes

My kids usually get into it ... the boys usually wear something black and red, but the girls (11 and 16) usually go all out ... they love it!

I'll be lucky to get Jayde to wear a PoC t-shirt. Although she does LOVE Johnny Depp & cries every time my friend tells the story of meeting him in person.

I started gathering DD's clothes together for the trip today, and really trying to start getting me and DH's too.

That's great to hear! :thumbsup2 I had DD look at JcPenney online for bathing suits & she said she found a couple cute ones... so off to the mall tomorrow. We have been lucky to have avoided the "mall" so far. But she, also, wants chinese Bourbon Chix from the food court.

We hit Old Navy on Sat & they had flip flops for $1; so Jayde got 3 pairs. Haven't been that lucky in clothes but we did good today 3 capris + 3 tops = 9 outfits!!

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day!!!

Hi Taina! Glad to hear you are feeling better! Megan doesn't really have any pirate stuff.. she wants to buy a pirate hat of some sort at DTD (that she has been wanting to buy for the last three times we've been there!!) but that would be it.. Evan has a pirate costume that he will wear... I am starting to worry more and more about packing....we have too much stuff!!! :scared1:

Hi all!! Hope everyone's having a great weekend so far! Funny I spent the day sorta shopping too:thumbsup2 Went with my soon to be SIL, a friend, and my other older sis to try on bridesmaids dresses. The bride to be decided on a super pretty royal blue strapless tea-length dress, I actually love it and was already thinkin to myself, hey I will be able to wear this dress on my next cruise for formal night:lmao: It's not to fancy and not to plain, it's just right and I can't wait til it comes in and I can wear it at the wedding and on our cruise next year:rotfl2: Also I got the cutest pair of sandals for myself, I love them and they are really comfy!! And I even got my DIS meet gift for the exchange, so I would say I had a really productive day!!:cool1: Can't believe its only 19 days until we leave for Florida, I am sooooo excited!!
