6/13/2009 Western on Magic- Our Cruise Chat Continues!

I would consider taking him to his family doctor and request some additional testing as an outpatient. If it is what you mention earlier, it is best control by diet but has to have antibiotics when it flares up. My grandmother has the same thing and every couple of years end up in the hospital. Best wishes to ya'll.

Thanks Fran:)
I wish it were that easy:confused3 Dad is so hardheaded & stubborn he won't go, he pratically has to dragged to the ER. He always lets things go until it gets to the point where he has no choice but to go to the ER, I just worry that he will let things go for too long and by then it will be worse or too late to fix the problem. As for his diet......well like I said no one can make him do anything he doesn't want too, ahhhhhh I swear sometimes he can be so difficult:sad2:

Jayde is out of school June 11. When I booked the cruise in Oct we didn't have a teachers contract so I hoped that it would be ok. They originally were scheduled to get out of school June 12 but changed it for some reason.

Since MI is a big summer tourist state ~ the gov't mandated a new law that schools can not go back until after Labor Day. Sometimes it is ok ~ sometimes not. We go by # of minutes not days.

Texas has done a similiar law. We can not start before the the last Monday of August. I think we go by days and our school is actually going almost a week past most of the other local schools.

Wanted everyone to please send prayers and pixie dust our way Disneydreamer82 and I have just found out that our dad is in the hospital with more problems with his colon... He is on IV antibiotics and we are not certain if he will need surgery:sad1:

Will say prayers for sure:flower3:

Took Daniel to his cardiologist and they did the sonogram and EKG ( I think I wrote it correctly) and now he will be on a heart monitor for till Friday and then we go back to his doctor and she will also do the trade mill test on him. We are still trying to figure out what is going on with him.

He doesn't want to go to school due to the heart monitor is hard for him to go to bathroom by himself, and is a pain to have one for such a little guy, so I will take him to school to see how this can be worked out.

Hope everything works out for the little fellow:grouphug:

our SW flights are very expensive now--we did get one reduction quite a while ago though so I can't complain

I bought 2 dresses the other day-now I can't eat til the cruise. Still haven't decided about a bathing suit

I know what you mean about not eating until the cruise!! I'm already wearing swim-shorts with my swimsuit- I think I need to upgrade to swim-sweatpants. I wonder if they sell them anywhere.:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Larry gets out June 1 (1/2 day) and has to go back August 11th.

I hope Daniel is doing ok and we are thinking about Taina, too!

Morgan gets out of school on June 3rd and re-starts August 24th. They passed a law last year that school could not begin before 2 weeks before Labor Day because there was a school district that had re-started on
July 31st and parents were outraged.

This year they did a "flip" with Middle School starting at 7:23 am and the high school starting at 9:23 am. Again, parents were outraged (which is the reason why I am up at 5am since I am the morning mommy bus!) High school gets out at 4 something and kids couldn't get jobs and sports training had to be at 7am and it's been a big mess. It's been a long year. Fortunately they are switching that back, too.

Hope everyone has a great day!

(and we won't forget Holley's contagious enthusiasm: :banana::banana::banana::banana:)
