Wanted everyone to please send prayers and pixie dust our way Disneydreamer82 and I have just found out that our dad is in the hospital with more problems with his colon... He is on IV antibiotics and we are not certain if he will need surgery

We almost booked Nachi Cocum. I am still torn since it would be fun and save $$ over Chank and the Dolphins...

That was my dilema as well, but in the end I figured that not only would it save us a few $$ on this cruise, but open bar included WOW plus the food and the beautiful beach with the privacy was too good to pass up! Plus not doing the dolphins this time, gives us a solid reason to go on another Disney cruise Ultimately I switched to spend time with my big sis & her family, plus the awesome savings

The hospital where I live is such a joke, Dad has been there for almost 3 hours and they know NOTHING. Haven't even done the CT scan yet, no results from the blood work, NOTHING. He will be kept there overnight and they say that if his white blood cell count is too high they will continue to treat him with antibiotics and keep in the hospital, if the count is normal they will give a prescription for antibiotics and send him home. They think he has Diverticulitis? I know there alot of med people in this group does any one have any input

And hoping Southwest lowers their flights sometime in the near future. I paid $99 DTW to MCO & $119 MCO to DTW. I really can't complain since I originally booked w/Sprirt & they not only charge more but kept changing my flights.

our SW flights are very expensive now--we did get one reduction quite a while ago though so I can't complain

I bought 2 dresses the other day-now I can't eat til the cruise. Still haven't decided about a bathing suit

AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! We leave in 22 days!!!!!!!!!!!! We're driving down on Thursday and spending 2 nights at the CIS at Cape Canaveral.

Hi, everyone! 3 more days of school left for my kiddos and then it is SUMMER!!! I have so much to do before the cruise, and I'm working a ton of days between now and then. Have a list, and I'm just working my way down it. We are so excited!!! I ordered a custom FE that is being made now. Can't wait to see it!

Rob is jealous. He still has school until June 4. I had to buy Rob some more jeans and slacks because his others have turned into high waters. So Ben still has to hem them. (Has everyone figured out yet that Ben is the crafty and skilled one between us )

Ok so now they are releasing Dad and giving him prescriptions for 2 diff antibiotics, guess they are not even going to do a CT scan?? I'm confused Shouldn't they do it anyway as a precaution considering he has abdominal pain and swelling???? They said his white blood count wasn't abnormal so the infection is not too bad. It just makes me mad that the doctors here are to stupid or lazy to do their friggin job

Jayde is out of school June 11. When I booked the cruise in Oct we didn't have a teachers contract so I hoped that it would be ok. They originally were scheduled to get out of school June 12 but changed it for some reason.

Since MI is a big summer tourist state ~ the gov't mandated a new law that schools can not go back until after Labor Day. Sometimes it is ok ~ sometimes not. We go by # of minutes not days.

I would consider taking him to his family doctor and request some additional testing as an outpatient. If it is what you mention earlier, it is best control by diet but has to have antibiotics when it flares up. My grandmother has the same thing and every couple of years end up in the hospital. Best wishes to ya'll.

Agreed. It appears to have been a mild one with no reported injuries. But hopefully all is well with Stephanie and her family.
