Was at security at 6:40. At gates 14/15 by 6:50 (14th in line and only one CM checked us in). Fast walk/jog straight to the M&G and was third in line! But then I have let 5 families past me as my DDs are still at DLH. I wasn't sure if it definitely opened at 7 nor whether I could get to the front.

I could have been done by 7:15! Still here at front of line waitin for my DH and DDs.

That's good to know! I was hoping it would open for EMH/MM for the summer. I just realized we only have one EMH at DL for this upcoming trip (arrive after opening Sat - leave early Wed), so now the big decision of Peter Pan or Frozen. Guess I'll leave it up the kids.

Curious is it just Anna and Elsa? I heard Olaf is there too? My son would only be interested in Olaf, LOL.

Has the Frozen preparade float started yet? I thought I saw maybe it was starting this Friday? Would love a report of the parade float from anyone who sees it. Also, if it is labeled a "preparade float" does that mean it does not go the whole parade route or is that a silly question? Have only been to Disneyland once and it was several years ago. Just wondering if we can position ourselves closer to the end of the parade route and still see the Frozen characters.

Both Anna and Elsa were there from the start, BUT I've read that they take breaks randomly and it could just be one. Others have stated they only had Anna (which is ridiculous since almost every little girl I've seen is wearing an ELSA dress, including my own). Thus, you take a gamble that Elsa is there. I let about 10-15 families ahead of me while waiting for my kids yesterday, so it's possible you could do that to wait until Elsa appears. The CM told me you're NOT supposed to do that, but they weren't monitoring me just standing there letting people go in front of me. I ended up taking photos for many of the families with Olaf (the animatronic figure on the roof of the M&G).

The online listing for Anna & Elsa doesn't list them as appearing during early entry hours, but starting the 15th, 8AM is listed as the start time for the next several weeks.

I know! CM also told folks 8 am start, so I told DH to let the girls sleep since I figured I'd be standing there from 7-8 am. But when I got to the front of the line, the CM there said, "We're starting soon..." and then 5 minutes later they opened the door and the first family went in. It was totally misleading and one family who I let pass in front of me while DH rushed the girls over said, "I'm so glad we didn't believe the CM who told us it started at 8 am!" Clearly, there is a lot of mis-information around so I'd advise other families to be prepared for a delayed start, but have your family ready just in case they do start during EMH like they did for me yesterday. Better safe than sorry, as I regret not telling DH to just come to EMH with me. He has bad shin splints from running from DLH with DD5 on his shoulder and DD8 running beside him.
