hi all!! :wave2:
getting excited more and more every day.....still have a ways to go, but the more i read (& the more pics i see), the more we're getting excited!! Happening upon conversation this evening with DH, there may be slight chance my Mom and niece will join us for our trip (chance they may not....don't know for sure yet). My question is this: we have standard room at RPR reserved...IF they would come with us, and wouldn't be able to afford/or get their own room, can they stay in our room with us..and I'm sure it would be extra $$, but how much extra?? Also, that would mean 5 peeps in our room....do they have rollaways we can get?? :confused3 Didn't think this opportunity would arise (and, it still may not--long story of why), but just to be prepared, how would I handle 2 more people on the trip?? TIA! :wave2:

You can have 5 in your room. They may charge an extra $25 for a third adult in the room. What is their status with tickets?

Just keep in mind that not only are the rooms small (trying to accomodate a roll away, etc), but 5 people is alot to share a bathroom. We tried going "budget" our first trip to WDW 7 years ago. We went with our neighbor and her young daughter and shared a room that would accomodate 5. Not everyone has the same "courtesy" when it comes to sharing the bathroom and the dynamics of different "families" soon get under each other's skin. Our total 12 night vacation turned sour before end of week one and the neighbor and her daughter was like our extended family. They spent alot of time at our house. We swore, from then on, that we would NEVER share a room with anyone else. I am not trying to put a damper on your plans, but wanted you to be aware that best intentions don't always come out sweet. Hope things work out better for you though. Enjoy your vacation.

You will likely have another charge of $25 for a roll-away. It will be tight but I can tell you how to avoid the bathroom bottleneck. Your Loew's 1st membership will gain you access to the fitness center. Everyone can get ready at the same time in their locker room. The showers are nice and they provide toiletries like shampoo, coinditioner, body wash, razors, mouthwash, Q tips, spray deodorant, etc.

I am putting 5 in a room at RPR in June. 3 are young teen boys. I'm a little nervous about it I admit, but I'm taking Motherfletchers advice on the bathroom situation. The boys have already been told they will be showering at the fitness center and the bathroom is MINE! LOL Also, instead of payin 25$ for a rollaway , I looked online and found an inflatable twin bed to take. It was 49$ and its like the aerobed (but cheaper). I tested it and it is very easy to inflate and deflate, and has a flocked top and is raised up (a little, not to full bed height). I also got the club level to give us a little extra "space" to go hang out. I think it will be fine. :hippie:

We have taken those too. We used 2 and got it the right heighth but my son is lazy and I think that is what he said, "This is flocked top!"

I'm sure my Mom wouldn't mind paying the extra money for the rollaway....to her it's cheaper than another room :rolleyes2 ...but here's my question, when you had the extra person, and didn't request the rollaway, weren't they weird? I mean, they still know the 5th person is there because I'm sure you asked for a room key for their FOTL priviledges, right?? So, weren't they ticked they didn't get their extra $25 (is it per night rate?) for the rollaway? :confused3 Am I confusing you as much as I sound like I am? Sorry if I am!

Yikes, that room was too small for me and my 13yo son! I have no clue how more people can squeeze in there!

Can you add a few bucks to get the King Suite? I had it booked for about 20 dollars more than the room on the Georgia rate. Check the price of the difference. They still only have one bathroom but there is more square footage.

In my case, I have 2 adults and 3 kids, so I am not charged extra. You are only charged extra if you have more than 2 adults. They dont care if you have 5 ppl, you dont have to get a rollaway, you can use the inflatable. (I dont think rollaways are very comfy)

Thanks, I'll check IF they join us (still not definate they are coming...big, involved story there). I'm not too concerned about all of us squeezing in... when we go away, we don't spend hardly any time in the room anyway! But, if they DO decide/can come, I will definately check it out! :thumbsup2 Oh yeah, is it extra for the adult per night? (i'm guessing yes.....) and what is the cut-off age for "kids" to stay free w/ adult?
