Hi..this will be our 8th cruise. We've sailed with veranda's on 3 of those, but once we discovered the 8A 2 porthole room with dividing wall, we've never gone back to veranda because we LOVED the space! None of those are available on the cruise we will be on next summer, so I'm trying to decide between a 5E all the way aft to get some extra space on the balcony, or a 4E (aft, but not the very back) which would give us both a larger balcony and a bit more space in the room. Yes, it's only my 13 year old and I, but if you've ever sailed in 5520 or 5522 on the Fantasy or Dream, you'd understand how incredibly huge they are, and we just love them. SO, can anyone tell me if a 4e feels significantly larger than a 5e? It's only $300 more, but that's money I could spend elsewhere if I won't really notice the space difference. Unlike some, I really do enjoy spending time in my cabin. Also, do the all the way aft cabins have better views in port than cabins on the port or starboard sides? Thoughts?

I've sail d both the 5E & 4E on the Fantasy. I muuuuch preferred the 4E. Great room. Convenient location. Big balcony. It was everything I'd wished for in the 5E but with little to no crazy vibrations and much more convenient location. I'll always take a 4E over a 5E.

Sailing in one of the deck 5 double porthole mini-suites on the Dream next Sept. Excited about all that space. I may have to do a cartwheel in my room because I can!

Cat 4e and Cat 5e cabins are the same size internally.

It's only the Cat 4a - d that are family size regardless of what DCL or other websites indicate.
