Holy cow, just seen some websites are quoting this for early Dec sailings.

This seems one heck of a deal!

Shame I am booked for Oct!:goodvibes

can I find those rates? We are looking for a cruise date...late November early December

I just looked on Travelocity, and they have the rate for the Dec 1 Western or Dec 8 Eastern - that's a great rate!

That would be a great rate. IMHO, for our family it would be the absolute worst time to travel - we are almost totally booked during that time period with Holiday parties and getting ready for the rest of December!!! Plus for me the the anticipation in early Dec. is one of the very best parts of Christmas, and I would think it would mess up those that celebrate Hanakkah, unless everyone was with you.

Ahhh, but seeing the ships decorated for the holidays? Priceless!

We are doing back-to-back Magic cruises on 12/1 & 12/8 this year. Sure we'll miss some holiday parties and events, but it's worth it! We'll just get as much as we can ready before we leave and finish up the odds & ends when we get home on the 15th.

There's nothing that can put me in the holiday mood more than a visit to WDW or a trip on DCL!

I saw these rates, too, and couldn't wait to tell DH thinking he would go, "OK" since they are about $2,000 less than what I was pricing for the same itinerary in the offseason next year. Alas, he said it was a no go. Not enough time to save up, etc., but I'd be willing to have a little credit card debit for those prices! But the biggest issue is his expired passport--he's not an American citizen and his passport expired in the spring and I have absolutely no idea how to go about getting a German passport renewed in America or even how long that would take. But, I hope somebody else takes advantage of the rates!! I guess I'll have to find my Merry in Christmas elsewhere!

My husband is British and when his passport expired, we just downloaded forms from the British Embassy website and sent it all off to their office in Washington DC. He got a renewed passport back in the mail a few weeks later. Check the German Embassy website. I'm sure they have instructions for German citizens to renew while overseas.

Good luck.

Got that price, yep, it's GREAT! :cool1: We were booked on the Dec 9 4 nt and switched when we saw it. I wondered if it would take away from the holiday season, but I figure I'll be a LOT more relaxed when it gets here, and Santa gets to shop at the Lego store...Not sure how we'll manage a real tree, we're travelling after for a bit and won't get home til about the 22nd...

What site are you finding these prices on? I've looked all afternoon and keep getting the same prices as listed on the DCL website

The DCL website does have that price for the 7 night western of 12/01/07 and the 7 eastern of 12/08/07. For example, I selected the 7 night eastern of 12/08/07 CAT 12 for 2 adults declined the ground transfers and trip insurance and the price came out to $1198 ($599pp) + 110.16 in fees & taxes for a total of $1308.16.

Hope that helps.

I can still get the $599 on Dec 8 at www.cruisesinc.com That's where I found that price myself a few weeks ago and got my TA to match it. Of course there are the taxes on top, and they'd be the same where-ever you book, just depends on whether you see it up front or as an add-in. Personally I have a hard time sorting out the Disney site, I like to have things broken down even if the total is the same.

Good luck!

Yeah when I found the prices I think I saw it on Cruise.com, and a couple of other sites. As others have said, call your TA and ask if they will price match it. 599 is an awsome deal in my opinion!

Good luck to those wanting to book at this rate- and to those who have already booked congrats on getting a bargain! :thumbsup2

I was able to get that rate by going through Dreams Unlimited who sponsors this board. And they gave me an on board credit to boot!

that is very encouraging. I always thought December was one of the most expensive times. I would like to rebook on our April cruise for an early December 2009 Western cruise! :cool1:

Actually December is usually the cheapest time - for any time besides Christmas & New Years.

That is half the price we are paying for a 7-night cruise in Feb.(2008)! I would love to take advantage of the Dec. rate, but DH works for UPS. NO chance of taking a week off between Thanksgiving and Christmas, darn it! For anyone lucky enough to go for so little, I think you should have twice the fun!

We just got back from the 9/29 Eastern and I cannot tell you how tempting this is. I would love to do it again! I know that DH would go for it but I am just to practical.:confused3

HHHmmmmmm???? You've left me thinking . . . and thinking . . . and thinking . . . I just wish I knew if my DH was getting a good commission check at the end of October.

Maybe there will still be some "deals" out there when the end of this month rolls around and we can take advantage of them.

Here's "wishing on a star"!
