OUCH! Congratulations. I did not see the game, but what a read Alabama played a complete game. I know this probably does not belong on the camping thread.

Sorry, grumpyaggie. I was there yesterday. Beautiful day for a game. Nobody expected a blowout I can assure you.

We play Tennessee in Knoxville next. I'm sure there will be plenty of media jokes about Kiffen needing a security detail for himself.

And grumpyaggie, we can make this thread a camping thread by my asking, when do you plan to visit the Fort again? I'll be there in January for the Half Marathon.

I wasn't expecting that score at all. We were in Destin, FL for my sisters wedding. We groomsmen purposefully delayed showing up for pictures by 20 minutes just to make it to halftime. (My sister is still furious, but she married a Tennessee fan, so serves her right).

Oh, and I as unofficial Fort Wilderness Squirrel Representative, declare that all football discussions are directly related to camping (stomping my foot and putting my hands on my hip as I look skyward).

Oh yea, I wasn't expecting a shut out either, guess I've watched too much Finebaum? But I listen to the game while I cleaned the awning on the camper and did a few other odds and ends to the camper. I'd rather listen to Eli Gold over them commentators on CBS, it seems like they're always against Alabama no matter who they play. Roll Tide

P.S. does the Fort have the SEC Network on their park cable?

DW & I will be there April 12th thru 22nd. Hoping to get Loop 700 again. We were there February & loved that Loop. We are celebrating my birthday & hiding from IRS. lol

We folks here on the board have a good sense of humor when it comes to college sports. Everybody loses at some point, that's why I make it a point not to gloat.

I hope the Fort does have SEC network. Bama will be playing Mississippi State the first weekend we are there. My wife has already been informed that I will be watching that game and not park roaming. Being in Mississippi you just have to realize how big the Ole Miss and Mississippi State games are.

The Bama-aTm game will be rebroadcast tonight on the aforementioned SEC Network at 7pm Central. Since I was at the game, I'm going to watch it to hear what Verne and Gary had to say. Gary is a great analyst (but lots of folks don't like him) and Verne has a great laugh and "WOW". Although my favorite college football announcing team is Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge, Gary and Verne are okay.



Bama #4 in the polls today. Doesn't the Playoff Committee start releasing their rankings after next week's games? Still lots of football to play.

If it is a CBS game, I turn down the volume and listen to Eli on the radio. Far better commentary. Also, funny thing is that Eli is usually about 3-5 seconds ahead of the game, so I can hear when something big is coming up on the TV.

Yes, the release is next week. I figured Bama would be number 5. Still a lot of playing to be done...

The good thing is that the Bama / State game will be on one of the major networks. They "should" both still be top 10 (everybody knows how this goes). I just hope it is a night game and not another 2:30 CBS game. Not sure if I can pick up Eli Gold in Disneyworld...

Tiggerdad, there is always the ESPN Club. An appetizer and a hamburger will get you thru the entire game.
If you have never been there, check out the TVs in the restroom.

Well hopefully after tonight we can rename this thread "Big Al rides Expedition Rocky Top". I run a offshore crewboat and wont be able to watch or listen today, Guess these LSU dispatcher we work for thought it would be funny for us to miss the game, so Bama Ed and tiggerdad y'all cheer on the Tide for me today!
