?

We rented one last year for DD6. She didn't use it as much to ride in as we used it as a cart for all of our STUFF!! Planning to do the World on our feet this time...hopefully...more $$ for STUFF!

If she gets tired or wants one, I wouldn't hesitate to get her one. The strollers are pretty hefty and I have seen kids WAY to big and to old to be in strollers riding around in them and happy as can be!

Every child is different. Some have health issues, some are just small for their age, ect, ect... So I don't think there is a definitive age to cut them off. You know your child best.

my dd wil be nearly 7 when we go but is small for her age so i will be taking a stroller for her and my ds who is nearly 4

I agree that 34 is too old for a stroller but at 53, I think I might be circling back in a few years!

I was afraid my very whiney 6 yo, I can't walk any further my legs are going to fall off, would want one at Christmas. If you have read previous posts of mine, I am all for a stroller to avoid this but, she did great. We rented one twice when she really was just too tired and it made our lives so much easier. Eating humble pie here:teeth: .....I have agree with most of you here, going strollerless is quite liberating!

I need one for my 3 1/2 year old. The problem is he's so tall and weighs 43 lbs. He's over the weight limit for a lot of strollers and his head hits the canopy on a lot of models. I'm trying to find a new one to buy and I can't find one that seems big enough for him!! Any suggestions on any models?

I think it depends on the situation. My oldest DD never used a stroller except at WDW or the mall. She stopped using one at WDW when she was 5 and did great and we brought one for the youngest DD. But at 5 we were there in Dec. and April, not that hot. Then we went in Feb. when she was 6 and that was fine too. We just got back from our late May trip and it was hot. We rented a double stroller everyday for both. She couldn't make it in the heat. Things went great. I think the weather has alot to do with it.

Also, we have always brought the stroller and did in May. But we rented a double and I found those easier to push than my cheap one I brought for the 3 year old DD. It was also nice not having to get one off and on the bus. I am now a rental convert!

I also agree, I think it depends on your child and what you're comfortable with.

My dd is almost 6 and I will keep on using our stroller at WDW until she breaks it!

You do a lot of walking and instead of having a cranky kid who is "naturally" getting tired by just taking in all of the stimuli alone a stoller would be just fine for any age that can fit in one!

I also like it because we can put our backpack, ponchos and drinks in the basket.

So, I vote for, as long as they fit in one, there's no age limit!

There may be some who disagree and when dd asks for the stroller when we're at the mall I tell her it's only for WDW because I want it to last! :earsgirl:

Perfect. I am only 32 so I am all set for this trip, right?

When DD (twins) were 5 we got them strollers at AK, they wanted to push us. DH got in one and I the other. I was 34 and he was 36. DD's couldn't see were they were pushing us but the looks we got were priceless.

Happy Thoughts to all,

My dd(just turned 7) is using one in July ...She is the youngest of my kids and it is easier to keep us all together if she isn't lagging behind. Also, I'm spoiled and love the storage. Also, she is very petite so weight/height isn't an issue for the stroller.

Darn, I'm 43. :( Just between you and me, though, I don't think that my rear end would fit in one, anyway...

My 4yo loves sitting in the stroller at WDW. When his older brother was 4 he rarely used it. Just depends on the child. They are great to hold everything, even if the child is walking.

DD will be just shy of 4 on our trip in November and we went out and purchased a new stroller today. We were starting to have problems with the old one, however, we definitely got our money's worth out of that!!

She is so quick and would run away on me into the crowd if she didn't have a stroller. Also, she does great with taking naps in one. She just says that she wants to lay down and away she goes.

Both of my boys were a hair past 4 the last time they were in a stroller. They both did fine and they are not "mall walkers" so to speak...lol I was quite happy not to have to lug one around anymore anyhow....

Each child is different....I've seen some kids that are 7 in strollers and unless there is a medical issue...I think that's a tad old... (walking is good for ya!)

happy planning,
Esmerelda

I had to get one for my DD7 in May. The heat zapped her energy. She didn't need one when she was 4 and 6 in the winter.

I got some strange looks from people but I didn't care. We easily walk 7-10 miles a day at Disney and I needed a happy child.

Any age is OK for a stroller--if you have a doctor's note---which, by the way, I will gladly sell to you for the right price.. :hyper:

I will be 42 before our next trip and have decided that I will get a stroller and have the kids push me around

ROTFLMAO!!!!! Depending on how tall you are I think you might find a wheel chair more comfortable! :p

Honestly WDW should come out with an "adult stroller",no special entry to lines or anything, just like a stroller for the kiddies...nice canopy and it reclines. There would probably be a lot more happy faces at WDW if Mom and Dad got a walking break now and then! :teeth: :p

Anyway Erich's last stroller trip was when he was 5 and a half.:earsboy:
