58 tantrums, 2 snakes, 3 dole whips, a fall & lost sunglasses... OH MY!!!!!

First, to heck with those Disney haters! Thankfully, my friends are pretty awesome about my love of Disney (or perhaps they know better than to say anything negative! :rotfl:), and my family thinks it's great (who do you think brought me when I was young?!). I think you handled it much more politely than I would have!

Second, WOW on three parks in one day with two small kids! Impressive! :worship:

Finally, CONGRATULTIONS ON THE NEW JOB!!! :jumping1:

Lol!! Yeah!! To heck with them!! :))) If they never go, I guess they will never know, right?

I guess I did accomplish a big feat huh?

Thank you! :)) I can't wait to start!

We woke up early this morning and we were TIRED! Three parks the previous day and we definitely felt it. I had to make myself get up bc we had a breakfast ressie at Cape May Cafe! After getting ready, we were at the bus stop waiting for a bus to "MGM" AKA Hollywood Studios. For those of you that don't know, Cape May Cafe is in the Beach Club and you either have to take a cab or take what Disney calls a "Friendship Boat" over. We arrived at "MGM" and it actually started to drizzle. We saw the boat waiting at the dock so we rushed on down so we wouldn't miss it and/or get wet.I have never been on one and it was such a lovely ride. I never even knew that they existed or had ever seen the Epcot resorts "in real life" before. It stopped at the "Swalphin" and in no time, we were being let out at our destination. We had a perfect view of the Boardwalk and I couldnt even focus on one certain thing because it was just such a beautiful area. I can't believe I had never visited here.

View of the Boardwalk area

See how cloudy?

But isn't it a beaut? :thumbsup2

We checked in and were told it would be a few minutes. Laws had to use the restroom so we ventured out to find it. Everything was just sooo beautiful. Even the dang restroom. I felt like one of the rich people walking around with my mouth hanging out. LOL. I am pretty sure I was acting like a kid exclaiming to Stevie " OMG, look at this and OMG, look at that."

In no time, our pager went off and we go to enter:

The restaurant is huge! Some of the offerings are:

eggs, bacon, sausage links, cereal, fresh oatmeal with toppings, grits, bagels, cinnamon rolls, muffins, yogurt bar, fresh fruit, waffles, hard boiled eggs, cottage cheese, applesauce, smoked salmon, lox, capers, waffles, biscuits and gravy... They seriously have everything and OMG, it was delicious. Seriously, I'd say it was my favorite meal of the trip. I could not believe the variety.

We were sat in a great spot too.

Brotherly LOVE!

Donald Duck soon came by to see us!

Then came the Goof-ster!

The characters were seriously ADORBS in their beach wear.

Meanwhile this was going on:

Landen made himself so upset again that he fell asleep!!

Awesome! We loved Cape May. It was kind of expensive, but hey... I have a pic of me with Minnie in beach wear! Priceless.

Great pictures! :)

Minnie was a sweetheart!

They had paper and crayons for the kids to draw on too, This was definitely a hit for Lawson.

I swear I ate three or four plates here, it was just so good. We settled up the bill with our free dining plan :cool1: and left CMC. We went in the gift shop and browsed around and then decided to head on back outside.

I could have sat here in these chairs all day and people watched. LOL.

As you can see, the sun decided to come out! It was going to be a beautiful day!!

You can tell that Landen just woke up.. I do love this picture of all of us.

A CM took our picture and I saw a group riding on a golf-cart and I asked him what they were doing. He said they were new hires who have to tour everything. UMM, Really? Where do I sign up for this? I started asking him all kinds of questions and Stevie is just shaking his head. LOL... My mind and brain's wheels were definitely turning. I mean seriously, working at Disney? That has to be the life. I would even scrub toilets there. I wouldn't be mad.

We saw Hurricane Hannah's. Too bad I just had breakfast and it was a bit early for a drink. LOL.

Stormalong Bay! Lawson was like " Can we swim here"? LOL.
Gosh, do I wish??!! Maybe one day we can afford to stay here. I would love to kick back at SAB with a drink from Hurricane Hannah's and watch my kids play!

We made the walk back to the dock to catch a friendship boat back to "MGM" so we could go back to CBR and swim. I really wanted to go walk at the Boardwalk and see the sights but we had a Not-So-Scary event to attend to that night and knew we had to squeeze in some downtime before!

Here is a pic from the dance that I promised:

He had so much fun with his friends and it was so cute to see all of the kids dancing and having a good time!

We have 5 inches of snow and ice today and it is still falling. We are not used to this weather, as this is the first year it has snowed in 3 years! It has me dreaming about Disney even more than usual today! My sister changed her dates to June so now we are going then, instead of May. It kind of works out better for us anyways since Lawson will be out of school and even though it's only for a weekend, at least we won't be having to rush back so soon that Sunday. The only downside is I won't be able to have a DIS meet with Lisa on here.... :(((( ((( My sister is a lurker on here and won't comment. :confused3 Everyone say HELLLOOOOOOOO, JESSICA!!!!....... :rotfl:)))))

We are probably going to stay off-site this time ( gasp) since it's such a short weekend and I can save about $200.00 if we do this. Even POP with a room discount is $150.00 a night. I know we will be back in February, and that makes it A-okay!

Thank you! I wasn't quite done with the whole update so there are more for you to enjoy!

We had the free dining plan so I didnt really notice the cost. I really enjoyed it, we would definitely do it again!

Last trip was my very first time on the Friendship Boats, and I agree, just a really pleasant cruise.

And the Epcot resort area is just stunning. So easy to spend a whole day there.

Ooh if I could afford it, (i.e. I win the lottery), I would totally work at Disney for free.

:dance3:HELLLOOOOOOOO, JESSICA!!!!:dance3:

I agree- I will work for free if I can live there!! A girl can dream right?

So glad you loved Cape May. Been dying to go there but always gets bumped off for some reason. Trying to get us to stay at either BC or YC this year...we'll see :confused3 OMG your handsome boy enjoyed his dance..he is so cute. I just love how each boy looks like one of you..:cool1:

Hello Jessica!! :wave2:

Beach Club is our favorite resort. We are staying there in 101 days (but who's counting?) We've stayed at the Dolphin, Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Pop Century and Beach Club about 5 times. The trade off for us is that we can only afford to go every other year. We rent points from DVC members and stay in 2 bedroom villas. The last time we went was October 2012 and we went to MNSSHP. So much fun!! I'm excited to hear about your adventure :coffee:

It wasn't until recently that I went on the Friendship Boat, either. It's really relaxing and a perfect way to see the Epcot resorts. Plus, it's a place to sit in the shade when it's hot out. The only thing I don't like about it, though, is that it takes 20 minutes to get from Epcot to DHS. Not something to take if you're in a hurry.:rotfl:

The Beach Club is so gorgeous, but sometimes I feel way out of place in there. It's like I think everyone knows I don't belong in such an elegant and classy atmosphere. :lmao:

I think all families with kids should get to stay at Beach Club at least once, so that they can enjoy Stormalong Bay. To me, that pool in itself is a vacation spot. I know if I were still a kid, I would want to spend all day in there. Definitely the best pool on property.

That's how I feel about the Grand Floridian. I feel like I'm trespassing or something! Walking around waiting for someone to ask me to please leave

We stayed at the BW last year. It was so nice to walk to either Epcot or HS. Most days we took the boats. We didn't get a chance to explore BC at all :( I really want to stay in that area next year, but I got out voted so off to WL.

Great Cape May review!!

The photos of your boys together are just adorable --- even if it was followed shortly by a meltdown :thumbsup2

So glad the sun came out!! :beach:

You should definitely try it. I almost cancelled it and so glad that I didn't.
It is crazy how we have one of each huh? I hope we have a 3rd one day and it will be interesting to see "their" looks!

I would love to stay at BC but no way would my husband go for it with the price tag. :( I would love to know more about the points thing.
I am glad you are enjoying!

I know the "out of place" feeling. LOL. I felt that way myself.
I definitely agree about the pool being a vacation spot. Maybe one of these days I can convince the ol DH that we can stay there. I would LOVE to stay there but for now the mods or the values will have to do. As long as I am at Disney, right?

Thank you. They are sweet every now and then. :rotfl2:

I was glad to see that sun too!

Tuesday, October 22, 2013, Continued.....

I last left off with us about to board the Friendship Boat to go back to our resort. We decided while on the bus that we would go for a swim before we took a rest to get ready for the much anticipated party that night! I was so excited for the party but knew that meant that our trip would soon be wrapping up. ( Insert sad face).

We got back to the room and everyone changed into our swim clothes and then made the trek to OPR to get drinks and hit the pool.

On our way:

It was so pretty out. We saw a little boy riding in a paddleboat with what I assumed, was his dad. I wish we would have rented some of the watercrafts that they have available at CBR. We thought about it but knew he were pressed for time this day. Maybe on a future trip.

Made it to our spot!

Lawson went straight for the pirate water playground and Landen was still scared to death of it and decided to throw a tantrum. I think he just didnt like how loud it was when it dumped all the water.

I have some pictures of Lawson playing on it but they must be on my laptop. I will have to add those in on a later date.
We ended up putting Landen in his stroller ( I couldnt hold him in the heat any longer) and he commenced to playing with the sunscreen bottle. LOL. Hey- whatever works, you know?

We ended up deciding to go the big pool so Landen could get in but not before a picture!

Landen is like "Really, bub, you got to put your hand on my head like that"? LOL.

CBR has lifejackets available so that was helpful.

I decided against doing the slide again but it was kind of tempting.

It was such a beautiful day. The resort was playing some rockin' tunes. Stevie took the boys and were swimming and playing in the opposite side of the pool and I was just a relaxin' on the side with my feet in the water just taking in everything getting my tan on when Lawson comes on over and interrupts my peace. LOL. He says "Dad wants you" so I'm thinking something is wrong. I make myself get up out of my comfort and walk all the way around the pool. Now the pool here is zero entry, which is nice but it wasn't so nice for me. I start walking in and fall slap on my tail. It really did hurt and I still don't know how it happened. The bottom is sort of slippery I guess. Stevie looks up and is like " UMM, how did that just happen"?? I just sat there in the water holding my knee because that is what hurt the most. EMBARRASSING.

So, I ask him what is wrong and what does he need..
He says "Oh, nothing", I just wanted you to join us"..
That is sweet, but really? You made me walk all the way over here and then I get hurt.
For the love of Pete.

After my embarassing fall, we pack it on up and head back to the room so Landen could get in a little nap and we could ready for the PARTTTYYYYYYY!!

It wasn't long before we are all ready and we headed to the bus stop about 3:30.
Are you ready for this cuteness??

We had a little Jake and little Woody ready to PARTTTYYYYYYYY!!!

We headed to the bustop and after what seemed like forever, a bus headed to MK showed up. We loaded on up and the bus was packed with party goers. The bus was so lively and so full of energy, everyone so excited to head to the party. I was so happy.

We get off the bus and I go reach in my bag for my sunglasses. Look in the diaper bag, the bookbag, look in Stevie's pockets, the stroller, everywhere and can't find it. I start freaking.

I have prescription sunglasses so it's not like I can just go buy another pair. I am seriously blind as a bat without glasses. Stevie is trying to calm me down and telling me to just think about where I left them. I start thinking that maybe I left them at the bus stop and I am trying to squint at my phone in the bright sun trying to find the number to call CBR. I get in touch with someone and they tell me they will send someone out there to look at the Aruba bus stop and then they will call me back.

I am close to tears and just sick. I tell Stevie to just go ahead. I was so short tempered and really was just mad with myself for being careless. I sit on the bench and just pout ( and read the cool bricks that they have on the ground there with names) Stevie ends up walking back after awhile and tells me to stop pouting and let's enjoy the night and try not to worry about the glasses. Looking back, I was acting really *****y. I just wouldn't admit it at the time. We get up to the line and give them our tickets for the party and my phone rings. It is CBR and they found my glasses at the bus stop!!! They told me they would lock them up in a box and I could come get them when it was convienent. HALLELUJAH!!!! I can't even tell you how happy this made me. I breathed a HUGE sigh of relief.

We were pumped to party!!

Oh Marcie, YIKES on your fall!!!!

That sounds so great having a bus load of party goers to help set the mood!!

OMG how awesome they found your glasses. Also, how clever to call instead of going ALL the way back (which is probably what I would have done). :thumbsup2
