.

plan to get some glow necklaces when we get there. I tried packing them and taking them in the luggage last year and they were glowing already when we got there and unpacked.

I am planning on taking glowing items - has this happened to other people? Is it just the Dollar Tree glow items?

Thank you

We took 6 packs of glow necklaces with us in August. They packed great! The kem lights were inside a hard, plastic like tubing. They could not have gotten bent in the luggage. They worked great!

I went back and bought enough for our next 2 trips! Very inexpensive!:teeth:

a couple of comments on buying food and other items from dollar stores. Many of the larger companies are now making items just for the dollar stores. We had a meeting yesterday with a major company that makes a cheese dip that is only available to the dollar shops, and many times the items I see are ones that the flavor is no longer available in the "reg" stores and the leftover inventory is sent to the dollar stores or items in the "old" packaging is sent. Many times a company will make a private label item for a chain, only to have the chain drop it from the store set so they have to sell the inventory to someone. The only thing I know not to buy is toothpaste. I don't know how true this is, but I have read before that the floride content is different in the exported toothpaste than it is the the us toothpaste and sometimes it has more floride than we are use to and it can make you sick. Not sure how true this is, but I stopped buying toothpaste from them just in case.

You actually have to ingest a lot of fluoride in order to get sick from it. Toothpaste doesn't have a high concentrate anyway so just with normal brushing it won't cause any problems, especially since you don't swallow much of it.
