I slipped outside on the sidewalk & broke my elbow! I am in a full arm brace & have to go to therapy 3 times a week! I guess I am lucky I didn't crack my head open!!!

Hugs to you, and don't stress too much(I know better said than done). There will still be plenty to do, even though you can't ride the rides.

I'll ride the rides, even if it means hiding my brace in a locker. All though now I have a reason to skip Mission Space & Space Mountain!!!!!!

54 days is more than 6 weeks. It's actually 2 days shy of 8 weeks. How long did they say til it's healed? I would think you'd be good to go.

Ouch...

In 2002 my daughter (then 5) broke her arm a week before we left. It didn't slow her down too much and she got a ton of attention from the CM's and characters at the parks which made up for it a bit.

Only thing that was hard was swimming, though I got pretty creative with plastic bags, and she was able to do some stuff at TL and the resort pool.

We leave tomorrow, and all my kids are not allowed to rollerblade until we get back :).

i'm sorry aned I hope it heals quicker than it should!

You have the SAME luck we do when it comes to family vacations! :rotfl2: However, being that your going to DW, I have total confidence it will STILL be a great vacation! Have fun and a speedy recovery!! :wizard:

I broke my wrist 4 days before my DH's surprise bday trip to WDW without kids! I had to tell him the plan in the emergency room at the hospital!
It was annoying, but we made the best of it...My biggest problem was that DH couldn't put my hair in a ponytail for me and that it hurt to put on my sweatshirt (December)...Other than that, I did go on most rides and did receive nice attention from the other guests and cast members.

I hope you feel better very soon! It sounds like you have a great attitude :flower:

I hear your pain. . . my DD just broke her foot last week (DGrD is spending the week with me) - we'll need to rent a wheelchair for her - but we'll still have fun ! She was the one who broke her leg the night before we left for WDW in the early 90s when she was in high school  - at least this trip isn't in July - and I agree, the characters made such a fuss over her !!! Hope you heal quickly and have a wonderful trip ! :smooth:

I've been told six to eight weeks. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the good wishes everyone!!!!!!!!

Hope ya feel better!!!! You should be good to go by then! I shattered my leg back in Nov. and am STILL in a cast!!! I have had a few big setbacks. I leave on Monday with my wheelchair and a smile. I WILL HAVE FUN!!!!!

Robyn,

Enjoy your trip! It looks like you'll get some special treatment while you are there! Best wishes & have a great trip!
