$514 for Autotrain?

I just phone Amtrak yesterday and placed a resie on hold for travel in mid-August. I am traveling with my dd(8) and younger cousin(13). Amtrak quoted my a price of $514.00 RT. with my AAA discount.

Does anyone think I can beat this price or should I go ahead and book?

Sounds good to me. We are traveling mid August also. Our price for two adults and two chrildren with AAA discount was about $670.
Usually the quicker you book, the better the price.

I would book- the cheapest we were ever quoted was over $600 for 2 adults and 2 children. That price sounds very good and will only go up the longer you wait.

Don't wait. I've used the auto Train in the past and the price never gets better. It just keeps going up the closer you get to your travel date.
