Has anyone had room 5122. We are sailing on May 29th . I was looking at the daeck plans and noticed that it is very close to the elavators. Is this good or bad?

thats our room for the Feb 13th cruise. I have been told that being that close is a good thing.

I was in the cabin 5020. It was very nice being next to the elevators and deck 5 is easy access to all the activities. I am sure you will enjoy it. To me it was quiet and I didn't hear anything.

We had it on the wonder, it is a great cabin, in a wonderful location, we have been close the elevators and you really don't hear anything

Hi Shannon,
Am assuming you are on the Wonder, since you are leaving May 29th instead of May 28th. We sail May 28th on the Magic's inaugural West Coast cruise, and we have cabin 5124, so you'd be our next door neighbor!
We picked that area because it appeared to be off the beaten path, without too much foot traffic going by, yet close to stuff because of the elevators.

VERY NOISEY!!

I just had that cabin on the Jan. 9th sailing. I didn't hear foot traffic but it was across from a crew closet, where they also stored luggage. The noise from that was mostly teh first & last day.
The worst noise came from under us. It was a vibrating sounds that wasn't constant, about every 10 minutes or so. It kept us up all night.
I did report the noise, they had no idea what it was. It was next to a CO2 closet as well, I wondered if that was what it was but it really sounded liek it was under us. The people in teh cabin next to us heard it as well.
It was too bad because it was a great location, especially if you ave kids. The kids clubs and movie theatre were very close. You also have the men's room for the theatre right next to you, so it kind of adds an additional bathroom!

Hi All
Just got home yesterday...here is the deal...yep there is a noise no it is not every 10 minutes it really didnt bother us at all never heard it after I went to sleep. matter of fact the man on deck 4 below us (under the life boat there is a deck) that was threating to jump overboard was making more noise that was 2:00 am...geezsh some people.... anyway it is a great room and we are going to try to request it for our next cruise.

We have been on 5622 on the Magic and Wonder and love it. It is not all that noisy in comparison to the hall traffic on Decks 6-8 (less people).

It is around the corner from elevator so that never bothered us.
