50th Celebration Info

Good morning,

We will be at Disney World from May 3 to May 8 (possibly the 9th) and was wondering if anyone has heard what new attractions will be open for the May 5th celebration?? have heard that the new Cinderellabration (sp??) will be open, but that is all I have read about. I'm pretty sure Mt. Everest will not be ready but will open during the course of the year long celebration. Also there is a new Stunt show at MGM and something called Soaring for Epcot?? Will those be open in time for May 5th??

We asked an Epcot CM about Soarin' when we were there in December (we love this ride in DL!!) and he said May 5th is when it should open. Of course we all know how reliable CMs can be with that kind of info, but that's what he said. We'll be there 4/18-4/26 so I'm hoping for soft openings during that time.

Thanks for the link, I am so excited about everything that is planned. I didn't know WDW was participating when we booked our package for this year. YEAH!!!!

You're very welcome. ALL the Disney's are participating: Tokoyo, Paris, Fla., CA., and the soon-to-be one in China (I think it is).

Yeah, Soarin' Over California is perhaps my favorite Disney thrill ride of all-time. Partially because it looks harmless, but between the motion and the effects, it has left me queasier than any ride I've been on (to me, that's a good thing ).

I'm so glad they have it at EPCOT now.
