50th Anniversary Ray Ban Aviators

Made an impulse purchase of two of these gift sets (with the pin etc.) at MK last week and my wife is telling me not to actually wear them because they are collectibles. They made 2000 of these sets so that to me sounds like a ton. Could these really be worth anything someday? Maybe I only open one box set? Thoughts?

It's always possible if you lock em in a vault for 30 years unopened and you pull it out, you could sell it for something. Kinda like how an unopened super Mario game fetched hundreds of thousands of dollars
