50th Anniversary Pre-Parade?

Hi all,

I just looked on the official Disneyland.com calendar for November and noticed an additional event listed on each day:

50th Anniversary Honorary Grand Marshall Pre-Parade

It is scheduled for 5 minutes before the start of Parade of Dreams, but I have no idea what this is. The first day it's on is November 1.

Can someone shed some light on this please?

I was there on Wednesday and they had the honorary grand marshall come out 5 minutes before the start of the parade. I've heard that it usually someone famous that might be visiting. While we were there, it was Mickey Rooney and his family. They were just riding in a car down the parade route 5 minutes before the parade. Who has everyone seen as the honorary marshall?
