50th Anniversary Magic Band Disappeared?

A new 50th Anniversary MB was released. I have a trip planned for January, went right into MDE, and requested my band to be this one (which was available) at the special price. Today when I went into MDE, it stated under my name that the MB I selected was sold out? Is that possible after it appeared yesterday? Did I do something wrong? Should I have acutally "purchased" it instead of just adding as my MB? Thanks in advance.

They sold out sometime late yesterday afternoon. If you didn't complete your magic band order and pay, it's likely gone.

I just added it as my MB and did not pay as the full amount due is not until December. Should I have still paid for that separately?

You have to pay for the magic bands now right away to complete the process. And you can only do all in your party at once. Just selecting them unfortunately doesn't hold them.
I'm bummed because I will be there on October 1 and I missed out on this one!

Yes, you have to complete and pay for your order to receive the magic bands.

Have you already ordered a band under your reservation? If not, then it should be under two different places, either under "my plans" or under "my magicbands and cards".

I have not ordered. We actually were just going to use our old ones but my daughter really wants to get the 50th anniversary one so that’s why I was looking. It’s not under my magic bands or my plans.

Ok- I just went online and I can access it there- just not on the app. But sadly the 50th anniversary ones are not there…

I found the 50th Anniversary band after the tip from Physics Guy. However, I got sidetracked by the new droid band and ended up getting that instead.
