My parents are celebrating 50 years this year. When I make our dining reservations I will let the CM know. Will they do anything special or do I need to order a cake from disney cakes?

A lot will depend on which restaurant. And also, even more important, is it the actual date of the Anniversary? The way you worded your question does not clearly indicate if they will be having their 50th this year or specifically if the date will be while at Disney.

If you want to be sure of something special you will have to order it.
