We are going to Disney in May. I will like to read some reviews from anyone that has eat there before. Is the food good? how's the the theme of the place? Your comments plz :listen:

It's definately home style food -- pot roast, meatloaf, fried chicken, etc. It's well prepaired and the theming is equally good. Your tables are formica with the vintage boomarang pattern we all remember, the old TV's carry black and white clips from long ago, etc... It's fun and enjoyable.

It reminds me of eating at my grandmothers house. I hink of it as eating in antique shop.

We love it, it's great... but remember the theme. It's "mom" or "dad" or "big sis" (the waitstaff) running the show, so if you want a "quiet meal," not here. If you wanna have some fun and "play the game" and have some pretty darn good food, you'll enjoy.

We are staying at Double Tree Guest Suites in June after our Disney Cruise. Can I get PS at this restaurant now or do I need to wait until we arive at the park? I have always wanted to eat here and it was being refurbished in Jan when I was at WDW.

I would think 90 day rule would apply so yes you could make ADR now for a meal here. For what's it's worth at time I made my ADRs I didn't have ressie at hotel and was able to make all my ADRs without conf number for a room.

We always order the fried chicken, its awesome!! And Dad's super sundea is enough for a family of 4 to share. We had Cousin Richard the last visit and if you have teens with smart mouths cousin richard is fabulous. He can give twice what he recieves. I call it verbally gifted.

We eat there at least one time each time we visit. I think it's hit or miss with your server. Some are better than others. But you can always see how much fun the other tables are having if your server is not good. Our best time was when we were in an area off to the side with a couple of other tables. Our "cousin" server was giving many of us a hard time about not finishing our green beans, table manners, etc. When he left, we all switched places. When he returned, we were the most deadpan group you could see. Even the small kids were playing along with their "new families". We were all laughing out loud through the entire meal. Other people from the restaurant kept "looking in" throughout the night to see what was so funny.

On the dining plan, even though there are many places to dine that are much more expensive than this, we still eat there no matter what. It is, by far, one of our favorite places. :)

Anyone (on site, off site, locals, etc) can now make ADRs at 180 days out. If you are staying on site you can take advantage of the 180 plus 10 rule which means that at 180 days out you can make your reservations for that day plus the next 10 days of your vacation.

This is our favorite "bar" to hang out at! We always get the shrimp cocktail and a glass of wine. Then if we do go into the dining room, we love the chicken noodle soup. My husband loves the healthy turkey sammy...but I always just think of a glass of charonnay and some shrimp cocktail when I think of Prime-Time! You have to be a good sport and able to joke with the wait-staff as this is the "theme" of the restaurant. If your not in the mood, go somewhere else! For my family, it's one of our favorites!!!!

Our group of 10 ate there last year and loved it! :thumbsup2 The themeing is fun and our server was great! LOVED the pot roast. We've always done Sci-fi up until last year and 50's PT was sooooo much better.

I was just looking at the menu - can anyone tell me what root vegetable hash is??? :confused3

I love the fried chicken and DW loves the pot roast and meatloaf. We try to eat there at least once because we love the interaction. It is fun to watch others who aren't quite expecting everything that happens.

We love 50's at our house. We first ate there in '01, and had Cousin Chris..what a character he was. We have tried to get him again, but we were told he has moved. We eat there every single trip, even if it's just to grab a milkshake. We love the CM interaction, although some may not.
The food is good, never had any issues with that. Actually, most of it is quite yummy...the pot roast is to die for, imho.

WOW!!! Thanks everyone for your replies. Most def, we'll eat there in May. :wave2:

This is a must-do for us every trip! The servings are large, so a good place to share - last time my husband and I ordered the fried chicken to share - they brought it out on two plates and my SIL had order the same alone and we received the same amounts on each of our plates! My son LOVES the Peanut Butter and Jelly milkshakes. We always have a hoot with the staff and it is nice mid day to go back in time there....I have heard the meatloaf is really good, its hard to decide what to get. :confused3

Our family went in 2005, and I enjoyed it. I had the Pot Roast with a Peanut Butter and Jelly shake :thumbsup2 I would go back in the future, however it is not a "must eat at" restaurant, in my opinion.
