50's Prime Time

We just returned and ate at 50's PT. It was our second trip there and we all enjoyed it this time around much more than last time. It was just OK the 1st time. The food was OK both times, but this time around "Cousin Jen" made all the difference. She was a fantastic server and really teased my DS9 who loved every minute of it! My only complaint, and this is for Disney restaurants in general, is I wish they had a better system of calling you to your table other than trying to shout over the voices of the hundreds of people waiting for their tables. I just don't get why they don't all use the flashing beepers. It's so much less stressful than straining to hear who they are calling.

We ate there in Sept and the service was very amusing. The waitress came over and airplane fed my DD (10) who thought it was hilarious. I enjoyed the fried cheese appy but the pot roast was so salty I couldn't eat it. I was also newly pregnant at the time so that could have had some bearing on it. DH and DD both had the pot roast and loved it. DS enjoyed his meatloaf, but being an adolescent male his taste isn't the most reliable.
Just make sure you finish your veggies .

After skipping the 50's PTC on previous trips, we decided to try it on our most recent trip in Jan. We started off with the fried cheese appetizer and the onion rings. I was disappointed in the cheese because it was very dry and did not live up to some of the good reviews it got on the DIS. I ordered the pot roast, everybody else in my party ordered the fried chicken. All of the food was fair at best. The atmosphere was good, we enjoyed watching the clips on tv and our server was very funny. I would say to maybe try it once for the experience but don't expect anything great food wise.
