Just looking for some advice from you knowledgeable Disers!

In August, we will be in Disney with my 3 year old cousin who is deaf. On our second Hollywood Studios day, we're trying to decide between 50's Prime Time Cafe and Hollywood & Vine (there are no characters during dinner hours) for our dinner. Because my cousin can't hear, and he is young anyway, I'm wondering if he would enjoy 50's. I suppose there are the t.v.'s to entertain him. My last trip I dined at Hollywood & Vine during dinner and it was decent but I wouldn't rush back there again unless it was for my cousin's sake.

What do you think?

Personally we prefer 50's Prime Time. When we went to H&V last year, the service was horrible and the place was really noisy (which wouldn't bother your cousin, but might drive you crazy.) The food was only so-so. In our previous experience at 50's Prime Time, the food was good and so was the service. I think the TV's would keep your cousin interested. I'd go for the restaurant with the better atmosphere and food, which IMO is Prime Time. ::MinnieMo

For us it's 50's Prime Time HANDS DOWN. H&V was ... well... so-so in our opinion.

The interaction with your server at PT could get a smile out of him. Then again, it could be rather confusing.

I would try PT in hopes that the role playing would be fun for all.

Jumping on the 50's PTC bandwagon here. The food is better, and the decor might be more interesing to your cousin. Do 50's. It's more 'fun'.

Well, I went ahead and made a reservation for 50's!!
Thanks for the advice:thumbsup2!!!

Was there 3 weeks ago, I love 50's prime time! Never tried the other one tho. But their pot roast is delicious!

I would recomm that when you come into the park, stop by & explain that your cousin is deaf & if they can sit you in a table with it's own tv(some have it, many don't, they are just on the wall) so it's closer to him & he can read the lips on the actors on the tv. Tell them the time your reservation is & maybe they can rearrange something so you don't have to wait when you get there for someone to finish eating at one of those tables.

Have a great trip! :cool1:

Again, another vote for Prime Time!!! Love it! Our 10 yr old daughter has this place on her to do list! She gets the fried chicken platter.

I get the pot roast, yum...Not to mention the smores for dessert.

We went H & V twice for dinner. we have not been impressed.
