I'm gluten free and LOVE, LOVE the gf fried chicken at 50's Prime Time Cafe!! Will be in the World with a large group, all of whom want to go to Sci-Fi. Is there a way for me to still enjoy the 50's fried chicken? Can I stop in and order carry-out? Get an ADR for 1 and then get it to go? Anything? Thanks!

DHS restaurants do not prepare Take Out food. They are not equipped for that.
It is possible to get an ADR, wait to be seated, order your meal, pay for it, tip the server and then ask that the "left overs" be boxed. They might be able to do that. But what makes you think it is appropriate to take food into Sci Fi?
A better choice for you, if you love the GF fried chicken would be to go and wait for a spot at the bar at the Tune In Lounge and order and eat by yourself at the bar.

Sorry but I dont think the OP was suggesting to take the food into SciFi......s/he simply asked if its possible to take it to go. No need to be snarky.

OP, if you sit down, place your order, pay, and ask for a takeout container right away...im sure that will be fine. And yes, they do have containers. Many people at 50's arent able to finish their food due to the enormous portions. :)

Another option might be to suggest doing meal at Sci Fi (Op can order drink and maybe a small salad there) and dessert at 50's (other party members get dessert and OP gets the GF chicken).

I have gotten shakes to go from the bartender at Tune-In Lounge. Many people eat full meals at the bar there. I would take a seat at the bar, order your meal, and ask the bartender if you can just have it wrapped up to go immediately. If not, enjoy it there at the bar. It would definitely be quicker and less of a hassle than sitting at a table in the restaurant, except if all of the seating at the bar is full, but then you can always ask the bartender if you can order your meal anyway.

Tune-In Lounge has some of the best and nicest bartenders in WDW.

Thanks so much for the replies- great ideas! I'd never heard of the Tune-In Lounge... I'll check it out. I was certainly not planning to take the food into SciFi, just wanted to be able to enjoy it. Thanks!

Stipulating you already get the idea, just wanted to add another voice to echo the PPs’ suggestion: eating at the bar at Tune In is great. The bartenders are top notch, and the full menu is available to you. It’s a small space with only a few seats, but they turn over pretty quickly because most folks are waiting to be seated at the restaurant. Highly recommended. Quick food service too.
