I just made ADR's for 50's Prime Time Cafe for 6 adults and it says "Please note that your party may be seated at more than one table." Does that mean they would split up three couples ??? Would the tables be at least close to each other ???
Thanks for any help ...

If you'll notice...when you make ADR's, it automatically says that your party may be split, even if you're making an ADR for a party of two. It's always a possibility I suppose, but I've been several times with parties of 8 and 10 and haven't been split up yet. I would imagine that if your party was split though, they would do everything possible to put you as close together as they could. That being said, all your ADR technically guarantees you is a seat somewhere in the restaurant. I really wouldn't worry about it though.

It is rare that they'd split your party... as pp mentioned, it's just a risk they advise you of as a matter of course, because it could happen.

If it does happen, it would probably be either 2+4 or 3+3 ... not 2+2+2. There is no guarantee that the two tables would be close to each other, but they'll try their best.

Thanks ...
Usually I only make ADR's for four adults so I really have never noticed the statement that my party could be sat at different tables, in fact I have an ARD for 4 adults at Le Cellier Steakhouse in June that I made a few weeks ago and it did not have a highlighted note on the top of the confirmation stating that my party might be sat at different tables like this one for March at the 50's prime time cafe for a table of six adults. Perhaps the statement is in bold type and highlighted at the top of some ADR's and in the small print for others (I do know that all ADR's are not "guarantees.")

I think the practice of putting that warning on all ADRs must be relatively new, because I also only remember seeing it for ADRs where we were five or more diners.

When I was making ADRs, most didn't come with the warning, but one or two did. We are a family of 5 and I suspect that once you pass the standard 4-top they feel the need to warn you, but it was odd that I only got that message on about 2/7 ADRs.
