P.S. need to keep the best ideas to suprise DW on Anniversary. thanks Again:thumbsup2

You can start the dinner off with a scolding if you wear a hat to the table. Oh and rest your elbows on the table too.
Don't eat your veggies.
Most everything else that happened to our table was just spur of the moment. Not something we really could have controlled. (see my review in Dining Reviews!) What a riot we had!

in my opinion, 50's prime time is great, if, and only if you get a server who is totally in character. the last time we were there, our server, aunt sue, i think, really did nothing out of the ordinary, and anything she tried to do was not with a lot of effort. we heard, mom, at the table next to us, and that table was laughing and having a great time with her. our table was just knd of wishing that she was our server. in my opinion, the food is good, but doesnt warrant a trip unless your server is into the whole scene.

thanks for all the ideas so far. does anyone have video of this fun stuff at Prime Time? thanks :happytv:

We love both, but 50s Prime Time is interactive and lots of fun!! Just like the other poster said, you do need to have a good server that will make it more exciting. The food for us is always just okay, but it's so funny when they get on to you at the table and make you eat all your vegetables. Loved it!!

Even better - hide your uneaten veggies in someone else's napkin - then point out to your "Cousin" that that person hid them...

thanks again everyone. love all the ideas. could use some rain here in KY. :confused3

Here are pics from my last trip to 50's Prime Time

We have always enjoyed the food here, but the theming is probably the best in our opinion. Lots of fun and good theme appropriate food is offered.

We do but my SIL would kill me if I posted it! :lmao: She had to get up in front of the room and sing I'm a Little Teapot! I have to give her props though; she was a good sport about it. :goodvibes Which was really amazing considering her brother (my DH) was in tears he was laughing so hard. To be fair though, the same thing would have happened if it was him up there. :rotfl2:

Our waiter and another waiter were tring to set up my son (12) with the 12 year old girl at the other table. Their younger siblings loved it.

Our aunt got put in a time out.

Our kids are begging us to go back on our next trip!

Prime time is soooo much fun!!! When we went there I did not tell my kids about the interaction and just waited to see how they took it. (Ages 11, 12,13) When our waiter (cousin) came to our table my daughter had her elbows on the table her he made her set the table which she laughed at first and thought he was kidding until he threw all the napkins and silverware at her. She cooperated and had a blast the rest of the meal. With my two sons he asked them if they washed there hands and they both lied to him and said yes. Then he asked them what color the soap was and they said pink and it was blue. He made them stand in the corner after that. My youngest dropped food from his fork on his lap and our server brought him a bib to wear the rest of the meal. The server made my daughter go to the bathroom with the woman from the next table to make sure she washes her hands.

That is just a few of the incidents we had.

We had a wonderful time there. My kids are still talking about this and it was back in June it was kind of the highlight for them.

My DN (8 yrs old) is VERY shy. We have ressies her ebut now I am afraid he will be really uncomfortable with some of this. He would probabaly cry if they made him wear a bib or get up in front of the room and do anything. What do you think?

I have a ADR for lunch, but the food does not look that good to me. :confused3 I may just cancel this ADR..

We've noticed that they play along with you if you're willing to play along back. They're not going to have her do anything if she's obviously not wanting to participate.

I agree with parkprincess. The servers can tell when they come to the table who is willing to participate or not. My kids are normally shy also, but they played along because everyone was doing it. But I doubt they will make your daughter do anything if she does not want too!
