Back in '01, we did 50's P/T for the first time. We were there with another family..both families have a dd's the same age. The girls were 8 at the time. My dd is on the shy side but does like to join in the fun. The other girl is the complete oppsite. Well, we got Cousin Chris (don't think he has been there for awhile now). He was way 'out there' and over the top. He made me write an essay, on my napkin, explaining why we shouldn't put our elbows on the table. When my dd got her meal, Cousin Chris came over and started doing his rendition of the Alladin song, all the while shoveling fries into my dd's mouth. It was hysterical, but the other girl saw this and couldn't eat her fries fast enough. She was terrified that Chris would start on her. This is the only restaurant the other girl has said she doesn't want to eat at for our trip in Oct!!!
So....if the server notices that someone really isn't getting into the spirit of things, they will pretty much leave them alone and focus on those who play along!!! If this isn't the case, and the server does start playing with your dd, just catch the server's eye, shake your head..giving them the head's up to not play with her!
