If you had to pick just one. Would it be 50's Prime Time or Sci-Fi Drive In and why? Thanks!

Tough desision and you will get both sides. I love the interaction you can get at 50s and the food is good. 50s is my choice

That's a tough one. I'm not overly fond of either but if I had to pick I'd go with Sci-Fi. I find the food way too heavy and too much of it at 50s. I'm not a fan of "comfort" food since I tend not to eat large meals. I do like the atmosphere there though. The food at Sci-Fi is o.k., nothing to brag about but not horrible if you stick to the basics, a burger and a shake. I enjoy watching the movie clips, reminds me of my childhood. We were three people and just walked up for lunch when we were there so sat in the back at one of the 4 top tables, which worked much better for us than a car would have.

My girlfriend and I debated this one. I wanted 50s for the comfort food and the 'tude the servers have. My girl wanted Sci Fi for the cheesy movies and the Reuben.

She won.

My wife and daughter enjoyed the 50's diner. But I love old bad movies, so Sci-Fi is my choice. Plus the milk shakes are hard to beat.

50s Prime Time. We usually eat there twice on long trips. But it really depends on what your looking for. Totally different experiences and food.

I prefer 50s. IMO, the food is tastier, and the atmosphere is better. I enjoy the antics of the waitstaff and the TV shows. SciFi was dark and the way seating is, you can't really talk with those sitting with you unless you turn around a lot.

We did Sci Fi last time and everyone thought it was really cool. We're doing 50's this time - but are also repeating Sci Fi due to popular demand. I have a feeling our trips are going to get longer as everyone wants to try new restaurants but also wants to visit the same ones we did last time! LOL

I don't love the food at 50's, as its like paying for stuff I could make at home.......and I think Sci Fi is neat, cuz of the delicious food and interesting setting :)

50's... I think the food is better and you can actually talk to your dining companions- plus the waitstaff is fun!

We ate at Sci-Fi on our last trip & went in with really low expectations but had a great time, we thought the food was great & certainly a notch above your usual theme park offerings.

Sci Fi

I've found 50's to be hit or miss--we REALLY like the "schtick" and antics of the servers. The very first time we ate there, the server was AMAZING! Months after our trip, our (then) 3 year old was still talking about how we met our "cousin" down in Florida! But the last few times I've gone, it hasn't been as good---the service was fine, but no antics...just regular "good service."

Sci Fi is just so unique. And the darkness always feels so cool and refreshing after a day in a hot park.

If it's just DH & I, we like Sci Fi because it's a unique theme. If we're with other people, we'll go to 50s Prime Time so we can face each other.

I failed this choice for our upcoming trip and ended up booking both.

I prefer the food at 50s, and the antics can be really fun. The last time we were there, my then-15yo tried tattling on his then-5yo sister for not eating her veggies, hoping to get something started in her direction, and our server punished him (along with a gentleman from the next table who got caught using his smartphone at the table) by having him stand up and sing "I'm a Little Teapot." We were DYING!

But at Sci-Fi the restaurant itself is amazing, like nowhere else we've ever been. The food isn't great but we've never had a bad meal there either - it is just Applebees quality burgers and wings kind of stuff - and the trailers on the big screen are just plain cool. We have learned over the years to stick to the simpler menu choices; this isn't the spot where I'd order a steak or pasta dish, and inevitably the times we've strayed from the bar food items on the menu we've been a bit disappointed in our choice.

If I absolutely had to pick just one, I'd probably give 50s the edge but I really don't think you can go wrong either way, as long as you know what you're going for.

I don't care for the atmosphere at 50's. The food was ok, but the atmosphere is not my thing.

Sci-Fi is a must do every trip for us. Love the atmosphere, burgers, and shakes!!

50's is hands down my choice between these two. I was not a fan of Sci-Fi when we went there a couple of years ago.

We really wanted to love 50's. But we didn't even like it all that much. Sci-Fi on the other hand was great. One of the most original places as far as ambience. And the burgers are really good here. It became a must do for us.
