Does anyone know someone that works in Disney's IT or whatever department that's responsible for managing the DVC website and can explain the real reason why they have so many issues?

I have no idea but I do remember a few years ago all Disney IT were fired and were informed they needed to teach the new staff and give them all their knowledge. Sometimes I wonder if the old IT people read this and chuckle. Obviously, the new IT people they hired were nothing compared to the old workers and I'm sure the people that were being terminated didn't care to give their information to the new group. I'm sure someone on here remembers and knows when that happened.

A lot of companies that outsourced to India, Brazil, etc., have reversed that decision due to loss of communal knowledge. I would say that IT is a core Disney service that needs to be sourced internally. They did this to themselves. Staffing for IT jobs is very challenging, as it is a job seekers market.

Their replacements were foreigners brought to the US on temporary H-1B visas. Disney hired them because they were willing to work for less money (and more hours) than US citizens. The fired staff sued Disney but lost "because it's legal."

All that being said, I believe Disney's IT problems existed long before this incident. But it certainly didn't help improve the IT issues.

I don’t understand inner workings for IT but it’s confusing and extra frustrating to me that this happened along implementation of paid system that seems to be functioning. Is it just coincidence or is there way genie plus could break dvc?

I can't even get to my dashboard. The home screen is now showing how many points i have left rather than my Poly reservation countdown in Feb.

I still can't be to my dashboard, but I'm now seeing the countdown to my Poly reservation again.

SSR, which IS my home resort
Aulani, which is NOT my home resort

Did you buy one time use points? If so they probably came from Aulani and it will be listed as a home resort until your UY rolls over.
