$500 Disney Dollars w/Visa Problems Update on 2nd pg

Yep, I definitely got the "point".

And I will definitely get the rewards dollars.

For the DVC members who purchased on the DVC Cruise, that was one of the offers and it will be honored. No doubt about it. There was no "catch" to this tr/action.

Just the wrong "code" was processed with Chase Visa.

This was not a purchase with a retail store or outside Disney.

Obviously, you missed the point. There are "catches" to this promo. For example, if you by a resale, you are not eligible for this credit. Only through Disney. Since there are obvious flaws in the communication of the code, don't be surprised that legitimate purchasers do not get this credit. The point from my post was that the rules are not straight forward, and even these mistakes will be subject to interpretation. Do not hold your breath.
 
it wasn't "our" number to put thru. The Disney rep. didn't put the correct "code" in for most of them.

They have my correct number from my rewards also but the rep. didn't process it correctly.

Sounds like a problem with your guide's understanding of the promotion. Our guide (Dave Miller) was very clear in telling us that our credit card # and our rewards card # were not the right number for the promotion. We bought down in WDW (and I obviously did not have a statement with me), so he got me on the phone with Chase to get the number. I guess I should just be grateful that I have a competent guide... the dollars showed up exactly when he said they would. Thanks Dave!
 
I spoke to my guide and it was in imput error and she is correcting it right now. She did not enter my rewards #. She has it now and is fixing it. I will be getting my $500. Everybody makes mistakes, and they are handling it. I would advise anyone waiting for your reward $$ to call and double check with your guide.

I bought in Oct, my last statement closed out on 5 Feb, and still no rewards dollars. I emailed my guide yesterday (haven't heard back yet), but at least now I understand where the disconnect is.

I called Chase today and inquired. Not really worried, 'cause I know we'll get them.

The lady at Chase advised me that when the Disney guide processed it, they were putting the wrong "code" in - so with it not being processed properly, they could not assign the reward dollars.

I then e-mailed Disney and told them what I was told - it will be read tomorrow morning when the office opens at DVC.


Some guides gave the right "code" and MOST of the DID NOT.........

I doubt it. I think it's just finger pointing. Good luck trying to figure out where it all went wrong. I put my purchase on the Starwood Am Ex and we are staying at the Westin Bonaventure in LA for 2 nights as a romantic getaway sans kids in 2 months! :thumbsup2 Go AM EX!

We bought in October, and received the $500 end of December. Make sure they have the correct disney rewards acct. #. Not the credit card number. It did take 1-2 billing cycles after closing.
 
I just checked my rewards balance and the $500 is there!!!:worship: :cool1: :worship: :cool1: :banana: :banana:

I can't wait to use it our our 1st trip home in 59 days!!

Glad you got your reward!!! We are still waiting on ours, but our guide is working on it. The right number was used, but something wasn't done correctly so that is now fixed and we should see our rewards soon. Hmmm, I think another call is in order, just to keep our guide on his toes.:banana:

Thanks! We would not have bought so soon without the added incentives of the $500, so are anxiously awaiting them to be in our account. We have a May trip coming up that we planned on using the reward for a good deal of the expense. :)
