Well said! by the way, have you priced the going rate for a hotel room in Manhattan lately??? $600!!!!!!! Would you say they're ripping you off? Lots of folks are paying these prices.

I stayed at the Poly in November and I liked it because of the location. I have been to Hawaii and I get their theme but it is dated in certain areas..like the hallways and the elevators built for one. I am taking my kids back in September before school starts here on Long Island and I am staying at The Grand Floridian. The reason I choose this resort is because of the location! We spend a lot of time at the Magic kingdom and I like the close proximity...BUT leaving the MK I have to go in "the circle"..first to the CR then Parking lot, Poly then GF. It's great going but not returning...All the resorts have there ups and downs..just find one that fits in your wallet and don't look back! You will have a great time with your family and that is the most important!

Like others have said for us it is location and room size. As a family of 5 I would have to get two rooms or a suite at other resorts including WL and AKL.

I also have to agree with the above poster. For what I paid for my room at the W in Chicago I could have stayed at the GF and trust me, there is no comparison. We are planning a quick ski trip to the poconos and the "resorts" there are outrageously priced for run down accomodations. I would much rather be in a Disney hotel I can get for that price.

Although Disney is not cheap by any means, I personally feel they are a decent value. When I look at what other hotels cost at vacation locations I think the Disney resorts are nice and well maintained. The convenience, added benefits, and location make them worth their cost IMHO even though not everyone agrees.
