50 days to go and a broken arm

I am trying to breathe.. My 8 year old fell x country skiing yesterday. She was still in pain today so I brought her to the doc and she has a greenstick fracture. It doesn't look bad, is quite small. They hard splinted it and next week we go to sports medicine(we live near Lake Placid, so we have some great orthopedists that treat the athletes)

She will get her cast next week. Anybody have any idea about how long she will have it on? She will be devestated if she can't swim on vacation. We leave on 3/28....

Sigh.. Murphy's law..I should just know things would happen...

I'm not sure how long your dd will have a cast on. But they do make waterproof casts now. Ask your doctor and see if it is a good idea. Then she won't miss out on swimming on your vacation. You won't have to worry about it getting wet on the water rides ( Splash Mt, Rapids).
