50 Car Pile-Up on I-93 Southbound in New Hampshire

i was actually heading southbound on 93 and had to be re-routed because they blocked I-93 southbound at the 101/I-293 and I-93 split. Everyone that was in the car with me knew it was something serious if they had to block off the whole interstate.

Near white out conditions Saturday created major problems on area roads, WMUR reported.

Interstate 93 in Londonderry was shut down for hours after a 50-car pile-up in the afternoon near exit 4.

Rescue workers transported about 10 people to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Crews told WMUR that the accident stretched about half a mile down the interstate. Police were able to re-open the road at about 5 p.m.

We had one at 1130 am yesterday on I-91 in Westminster...20-25 cars. shut down southbound for over 2 hours and north for 1.5 They were using the northbound lane, to travel south with the ambulances- sounded pretty bad on the scanner- however, in the end only 6 were transported, and none were critical.

93 North was closed, too because of a 12 car pile up by Exit 5. I was at work in Boston and, thankfully, it had cleared by the time I got up there.

I am sooooo ready for spring!

I was always afraid of something like this in Michigan.

The pictures look truly awful. It does look like most of the cars actually held up pretty well.

I'm sure it was very scary to go through that.

I was amazed that more of the cars weren't smushed completely.

Apparently there was a 20 car pile up in Concord too. When I saw that last night on mur's website I was soo glad my best friend stayed here last night instead of trying to drive back to Worcester. I don't think the snow stopped until after midnight here
I'm really amazed that no one suffered life threatening injuries. Those pictures are insane

Apparently the one in Concord was caused by (in addition to icy roads and zero visibility) cars going 70-75 mph. Where is people's common sense?
