5 year old, one day - Blizzard Beach, Animal Kingdom, or Legoland?

We're joining my husband at a conference in Orlando at the end of the month, and I'm trying to decide what to do with the one full free day that my son and I will have. It will be a Monday, and the options I'm considering are:
1) Drive to Legoland (we'll have a car)
2) hotel shuttle to Animal Kingdom (we've recently been to DHS and MK, so this is the park he wants to visit next; this is most $$$ option. I wouldn't have much time to get advance FP but probably not a big deal as he isn't interested in the biggest rides anyway)
3) Blizzard Beach (we could get a slight discount on tickets via the conference, but not a significant discount)
Any opinions on which would be the best option for a mom and 5 year old, end of April?? Thanks!

If you aren't fighting for FoP fast pass's I would say go to Animal Kingdom. The nature walking paths alone are worth the trip and toss is Kilimanjaro Safari and you have done several hours. The one thing worth checking out for somewhat less expensive food is to go to the Santuli in the Pandora area. Maybe the best CS in WDW

Never been to Legoland, so can't help there. However, what is your son into? Is he into animals? Does he like playing in the water? Since he isn't too into big rides, that would be my deciding factor.

If your son likes Lego, I'd pick Legoland for a 5 year old. He can likely ride and do almost everything there, and it's super fun for a Lego fan - tons of cool Lego to see and play with. It is a drive though and often closes at 5 or 6pm.

If your 5 year old likes water slides, my vote is for Blizzard Beach. We took my 5 year old son last March when he was 4, and he asks to go back to BB probably weekly. It was a great time.

If your son is a Lego fan, I would vote for Lego Land. There are quite a few rides for the little kiddos there.
If your son is a fan of animals and can sit well through a couple of shows, I would vote for AK. We went last year with a 6yo boy and he loved AK.

Have a great trip!!

My kids LOVED LegoLand last year. They were 6, 8, and 10. They are not huge thrill riders, and there was plenty for them to do. It is a drive, but they absolutely loved it.

If he loves animals and the shows/characters there e.g. Lion King, I would go for a AK. If you want a more relaxing day, do B.B. You could also do Legoland with the water park so that you get the theme park day and waterpark.

Thanks everyone! I think I'll do Legoland since we will have a rental car and most trips we just use Disney transportation, so this is a good opportunity to be able to make the drive out there. The hotel we're staying at has a nice pool and waterslide so, while I'm sure it is nothing compared to BB, I think that will satisfy our pool/water needs for this short trip.
