Good afternoon!

I am wondering if anyone has ever purchased the 5 park/14-day flex ticket that allows you unlimited visits to US, IOA, Wet and Wild, Sea World and Busch Gardens within a 14 day time period. We are going to be at Universal in mid-August for 11 nights (5 at RPR and 6 at Best Western Movieland) and are planning to visit each of the parks listed above. Since we were in WDW last summer for 9 days, we won't be going there this time. I have been considering getting the "buy2/three3" tickets for US/IOA and then paying the day rate at the other parks. I do like the idea of the flex pass in that we would have 14 days of picking whatever park we feel like going to on any given day. I believe it is around $225 for the adult ticket (since my older son is 11 we would have to purchase an adult one for him) and the child's is $195 or so. There would be my husband and I and our two boys, 11 and 9.

Any opinions on this?

Thanks! :)

We bought the 5park flex ticket a couple of years ago. It was good, in that it gave us plenty of freedom to visit the parks we wanted whenever we wanted. The only thing was, because we were doing Disney as well, out of 14 days we spent 2 days at IOA, 1 day at USF, 1 day at Wet n Wild, 1 day at Busch and 2 days at Sea World. This year, when we go, we are buying the tickets separately for USF/IOA, Sea World and Busch and won't bother going to Wet n Wild. It will work out cheaper for us (essentially 4 adults as both girls are over 10) than buying 4 flex tickets.

My advice would be to work out how many days you are likely to spend realistically in each park and then see if you can do it cheaper by purchasing separate tickets. If not, then go for it. The good thing about the flex ticket is you get complimentary transport to Busch Gardens as well (great if you haven't got a car but quicker to drive yourself if you have).

I'm not sure if this will influence your decision or not, but I read just now on the Seaworld board that they are currently offering a special for this year...after you arrive, you can exchange your one day ticket at a window in seaworld for a 7 day unlimited visit pass. So that means, buy single day tickets and after you get there you get to trade it in for 7 consecutive days of visits.

Combine that with the current Universal ticket deal and I wonder if the flex ticket is worth it!

Thanks for your replies---I certainly have lots to think about regarding the best deal for tickets! I really figured the flex would be best since we will definitely visit all the parks that are part of the flex, but I'll have to sit down and factor in each park's single day cost and compare that with the current US/IOA ticket deals.

Any other opinions/ideas?

Thanks!
