We have 5 nights booked at AKV in October. Our boys will be 2 and 3 then. We are thinking of adding 2 more nights at the beginning, so we can see one of the bands at Epcot. We have always just stayed 5 nights(with the boys)...do you think 7 nights is too much for this age if we are used to 5? And we would have to move resorts after the 2nd night, too. I am just worried about spending the extra on tickets, room, food, and then they get worn out by day 5.
Thanks for any thoughts!

I say that 7 is WAY better. We stayed 9 last time and it was perfect. You can do it more at their speed, ride Buzz 35 times in a row if they want, take swim/naps every day without worrying about missing something. 100% vote for the longer trip!

We did 5 nights last year with my 2 year old and are going back this year and staying 7 days. I agree that with the longer trip you will not feel as rushed (we were worn out after 5 days because we were trying to cram everything in). This time we are going to try to have a few days (or afternoons) just relaxing by the pool at the resort.

I say go 7 if you can afford it. We did 5d w/ a 3&1 yr old and felt rushed. Now in Dec (w/ a 2&4yr) we are going 7 to relax more.

Thanks everyone....I just got really excited reading your opinions! I am still thinking it through, but I am leaning way towards the 7 nights! I think my biggest fear comes from when they were 1 and 5 months and we went in freezing January. We moved from All-Stars to WL in 38 degree weather and the baby was teething and miserable. We were supposed to stay 5 more nights and ended up leaving a night early because all he did was scream everywhere because of his 4 teeth. I know we are way past that, and have been back since then, but I still think about that trip and get nervous! I have to let it go!!!
Thanks!

Oh we had that freezing experience in Feb. IT STINKS, but hey less people are out too (lol). GO FOR IT!!!!

IMO the more time at WDW the better. Five nights is good--better than four. Seven is better than five. Eight is better than seven.:thumbsup2

Whatever the budget and the time off work will bear would work for me.

Our girls were 25 months and 39 months when we went in January, so basically just turned 2 and 3, and we stayed 7 nights. I wish we had longer. It was wonderful, we went at a super relaxed pace, enjoyed character meals, got to visit things more than once... However, they were too excited for naps, no matter what we did, and every night by 6:30, whether we were sitting in a restaurant or not, both girls just conked out. So, the four of us were in bed by 8pm every night, but up by 6:30 am. This was fine, it worked for us, and we just went with the flow on the one or two occassions they got cranky.

We are going back in December and taking my parents, so when the kiddos and the old folks crash early, we can go on all the big people rides :rotfl:
