I am fairly new to this, only booked one trip before. I was surprised to hear from our travel agent that POP has a minimum of 5-night stay. We were planning to stay 4 nights, b/c we are also going to Naples to visit family on this vacation. Do all resorts have this minimum? I know we stayed at CBR for 4 nights in Jan. and it was never an issue.

Thanks!

I have never heard of any Disney hotel having a minimum stay.

If you are getting a room only reservation, there is no minimum days requirement. I recently cancelled a one day reservation I had, so I know that is not a problem. If you were buying a package during free dining, that would be the difference.

I will say that when I wanted to book one night in December it was unavailable but 5 nights were. They may be restricting to longer stays if the availability is very limited...:confused3

I'd to to Disney reservations and try a few days, just for fun. I have to wonder if the minimum is your particular travel agent/agency "rule".

We've stayed 1 night, 2 nights, 3 nights, etc..! I would call WDW Central Reservations - forget about a travel agent - and try booking it directly from them.

We just booked a 4 night stay at Pop for the 1st week of October. We booked it directly through disney.

I'm really glad I posted here. Apparently this "minimum stay" is a policy of the travel agency, not Disney. I spoke to a very nice CM at Disney and he quoted me for 4 nights. My travel agent then said it is "their" policy, not Disney's.

Thanks everyone!

Let us know what you decided to do. This is the very reason a lot of people avoid travel agents. That, and the fact that you can't call Disney with a question if you booked thru an agent.
And the fact that you may have to purchase a package and get things you don't want. In our case, it was passes to Wide world of Sports, that we will never use.

Well this is really good to know. I had no idea.

Thanks!

I think that everyone else pretty much summed it up, but I got reservations for a 3 night stay at POP directly thought Disney itself.

DUMP your TA and book direct with Disney that is stupid. Unless you are booking a specific package that states a number of nights there is no minimum. Perhaps the agent has there own agenda.

I have never heard of this... DH and I stayed for 3 nights only... I hate to say this, but do you think the travel agent is trying to get more out of you for commission purposes????
