I booked this sailing for next Oct because it falls on my kids' fall break and I have been wanting to do DL and combine it with a cruise. We are in TN so usually do WDW. With it being a 5 night sailing that works really well for the combo trip. I am not feeling very excited about the ports....ensenada and cabo. What are everyone's thoughts on this sailing? Kids will be almost 22mths, 7, and 9.

Cabo is like the West Coast's Cozumel - or at least people I know try to sell it that way. I've never been... Ensenada we just stopped in last month and it wasn't that great. We went and saw La Bufadora and then walked around a tiny bit and came back to the ship. There wasn't a lot there - I saw they are building little shops and stuff for right in the port area but they were empty for us. Might be better to stay on the ship that day unless DCL does something you really want to do. The Wonder will be refreshed by then with a new restaurant, kids areas, pools and other cool things, so I feel like you will have a good time regardless of the ports if you like to sail DCL!

I've been to Ensenada and Cabo with Disney, but don't have any kids so I'm sure our experiences would be very different.

In Ensenada 4 years ago we did a wine tasting tour that went out into the Guadalupe Valley and visited 3 local wineries. We were never actually in town except driving through and it was the day of the Tecate to Ensenada bicycle ride so that was very different from a normal day in town. From the looks of it in general, that might be a good stay-on-the-boat day.

In Cabo 2 years ago we did a catamaran sail/snorkel excursion that we loved. Beautiful day on the water! When we got back, we walked around the shopping area enough to buy some souvenirs, but that was about it. Cabo was really lovely, I liked it much better than Cozumel which we had stopped at on the same cruise.

Ok, thank you both. I just need to Taylor my expectations to fit the sailing. Seems like a good price for a 5 brighter and the perfect length to pair with a few DL nights. Thanks!!
