this is the first family cruise and we are very excited
We are going on the Disney Magic April 20th and I wanted to know if anyone has suggestions for the land excursions?

I did go to Disney reservation but I am not sure if the cost of the land excursions are high because you book thru disney or if the costs are high because of the locations. Has anyone ever "made their own plans" and had a great success?
I want my kids (CD=9yrs) and (SD=9yrs)--boy/girl to have the best experience, but if I could plan ahead and budget, it will make me happy
