ugh.... I leave in 5 days and I just checked the forcast: t-showers practically ALL week :sad2: Nooooooooooooo!!!

I find that checking those forecasts is just bound to depress. Due to the heat and humidity this time of year - almost any day (not just when you're there) will likely show a chance of t-storms. It did for our trip and we actually only had t-storms one night. It did rain about 5 times while we were there (and maybe misted another time or two), but in this heat - the cooling rain is welcome! It did, unfortunately, get our luau canceled, which was a huge bummer. But overall, I think the rain wasn't bad - never lasted more than a couple hours and did bring cloud cover to keep things cooler.

So don't think all negative about it! It will be fine. Just bring ponchos and go-go-go!

And hey - think about it this way

1) You can't control the weather so no use worrying about it ;)
2) I'd take a rainy day in Disney over a sunny day at work any day :woohoo:

I leave in 5 days also, and have been tracking the weather for the last month or so. Almost every single day in the last month has called for scattered thunder storms. The weather has actually been good though, according to the several people I know who have been in the last few weeks. They all said it rained a bit almost every day, but nothing major. So the weather says scattered thunder storms, but it's likely that it will barely rain. I don't mind the rain, as it will take the edge off the outrageously hot, humid weather that will be there.

Yup, I'm local, and I can tell you that for the most part, the weather over the last few weeks has been great. Yes, it's rained nearly every day -sometimes for an hour, sometimes longer -sometimes at night, but most of the days have been sunny and beautiful. You'll be fine.

When we go in the fall it almost always calls for Tstorms, but only one day out of seven did it rain most of the day...and we just put our ponchos on!

Here's the way I look at it: 1. Predicting the weather is not a guarantee that far out in time. 2. Weather forecasters are often "wrong." (No offense to weather forecasters...I heart the Weather Channel!)

Therefore, if they predict rain, you have a bigger chance that it will be sunny. And vice versa. So, by this hard core logic, I'm always happy to see a rainy forecast five days out. That means they'll be wrong and it will be sunny! I only panic when it says it will be sunny...then I know there's a good chance of rain. pixiedust:

...or perhaps I should just switch to caffeinated coffee in the morning...

We were just there for two weeks, and the forecast every day said thunderstorms - mornings were usually sunny and clear, so we got out and did all we could do - could usually get some pool time in after lunch, and then it would rain at supper time or after, some days for an hour, others for the rest of the night. Other days it wouldn't even rain at the parks, because the forecast covered all of Orlando, but it didn't always rain all over Orlando! Didn't stop us - we did ponchos, picked rides and shows that are inside (which is most of them!), so it doesn't really put a damper on anything. Enjoy your trip, and take it one day at a time!:goodvibes
