That's perfectly normal!

You should start a pre-trip report, will help the excitiment.

Have you done all of your ADRs?

Ahh OK Advanced Dining Reservations!! Just seen the abbreviations thread!

Im not really sure what we're going to do about Dining to be honest! We do/did want to do the Dine with Shamu but we're not sure whether it will be on now! :(

With the ADR do you have to pay when booking or pay when your there!?

As Torsie said: perfectly normal. More so, may I add, on these boards :lmao: If you weren't over the top in the excitement/planning/obsessive department you may have felt a bit of a misfit on here. ;)

If its any consolation, I started my planning and countdown just under 17 months out. I was still jetlagged from the trip we'd just come back from when I booked :rolleyes1

Don't be afraid to ask any questions either. :)

ADR's can be made 180 days ahead of your stay, so you might find some of the more popular ones already booked up.

For most ADRs you don't pay anything until you get there but a few, especially the dinner shows, will need to take a credit card number but will only use it if you don't turn up or forget to cancel your reservation early enough.

Eight months till we go and i'm buzzing around. Perhaps planning is half the fun but i'm in my element here :goodvibes

You pay when you get there (at the restaurant). There are a few exceptions where they take a credit card number etc when you book as these are usually sought after locations where it is hard to secure a reservation. They are generally your Signature Dining places (if you are on the Dining Plan these would take 2 credits).

Has anyone directed you to allears yet? You can view a list of the restaurants, menus, prices etc and they are categorised by park/resort for ease of navigation. You may want to take a look. Generally the advice is to make your ADRs 180 days out, but don't panic about it - the extreme early booking times tend to apply to a few of the really popular ones and the others throw a bit more leeway. Let us know if you need any more info.

This is the dining link for Allears: http://allears.net/din/dining.htm On the left at the top of the page you can select menus to view what is on offer. It's great fun and can become quite obsessive. :goodvibes

Ahh ok thats pretty cool, any reccomendations for dining?!

Always excited at thought of going to WDW, even more excited when booked

I am unbeliveably excited this week too for some reason!! Yay!

Where are you staying? Any young children? If so the character meals at disney are priceless.

I obviously have nosey tendencies  - but I also keep checking, hoping the OP will come back and dish out some details. ;) Excitement is a catching thing - I love it!

:rotfl2: Well its just me and my girlfriend going I am 24 and she is 22, we opted to stay offsite at a hotel called Monumental Movieland?! Anyone heard of it? The reviews are mixed as far as tripadvisor goes but we will hardly be there for our trip!

We're going on the 15th of August until the 29th, hopefully meaning it'll be a tad quieter towards the end....!

Sorry, been watching Seaworld and Aquatica videos all night!!:banana::banana:

For our trip last year to WDW I was excited for 3 years :rotfl::scared1:

So we will allow you 5 months :thumbsup2

We booked our upcoming trip 49 weeks out... and I've been excited the WHOLE time!! So 5 months is nothing :lmao:

I'm now down to 17 sleeps, so the excitement levels are just getting worse (if that was possible...)

:banana::banana::banana:

Have fun choosing restaurants, I'm STILL reading menus even though I've picked all mine!

17 sleeps :cool1: how exciting! By 17 sleeps I'm usually down to counting in hours, and peeling myself off the celling!
