I remember this vivdly the week before WWoHP officially opened. Walked onto eveyr single ride in both parks.

Anyone miss the days of being able to do every single ride in both parks in one day?

All in all, I'm happy Universal is more on the map now, but I do miss the days when I felt like I owned the parks! :goodvibes

I agree with Squirlz. We went mid April and were able to do all the rides we wanted in both parks in one day (and done by 3pm). If you go when it opens, its very feasible to get at least 1 park done by lunch (at least not during busy times).

Go at the right time and you can still do it!

Our last two trips were were able to do this, once in Feb and the other in mid Sept. The only thing busy our last trip was Forbidden Journey, which we did single rider for 6 rides and 1 SB so we could experience the queue.

I'm going first week in march for my first time ever - do you think it will be crowded then?

first week of march, barring weekends, should be fine.

my son's college starts their spring break on the 4th.

spring break periods stagger throughout the country.

When we went last Feb, it was very quiet. We got both parks done in 1.5 days.

I go april 22nd. I'm hoping for very Short lines.
I don't know how long you're going to be here but Friday (4/26) and Saturday (4/27) is Grad Bash which is a hard ticket event for high schoolers. Both parks will close at 6pm on both nights for the event. Just thought I would mention it in case you are still here on those days.
