OK, I know I'm a pain in the  with this issue BUT (no pun intended...) with the dream maker pkg I can get the BC for 3OO$ less than 2 connecting rooms at CSR....so my question is....how crowded will we be with 5 in a room at the BC ? How is the resort?
Thanks
Julie

We stay at the YC with 5 people this year. Our kids were 3, 8, and 11 at the time. Our daughter (11) took the day bed and her two younger brothers took the second bed. It wasn't spacious, but it worked for us and we didn't feel like sardines either.

I stayed at the YC this year. We had a room with two queens and a daybed. The rooms are large. I think you can get five in there fairly comfortably. You'll love the location. I'd take the better resort for less money myself..

A friend stayed at BC last year with DH, DD (2) and her parents. She said they had plently of room.

We have a room at the YC with 2 queen beds and a day bed - can you walk by the person in the day bed while it's out? When we stayed at Dixie Landings a couple of years ago we could hardly get by the day bed! I've heard that the rooms are a little bigger at YC. Also, does it make a difference in room size if you stay on Concierge level or not? Thanks for any input! Helen

Our family of 5 stayed at the BC last year and I was plesantly surprised by the space. I felt like we had more room at the BC than we did at the Contemporary and the Contemp has bigger rooms.

We stayed at YC last year, plenty of room for the 5 of us. Did someone post that YC rooms were bigger than BC. I wanted to stay at the BC next year, but if the rooms are smaller we might go back to YC. I wanted a more relaxed beach theme this time.

Is the day bed full legnth...would an adult be able to sleep there? I have heard they are full size at the Poly and Contem. (I think). Thanks, Renessa

At the Poly the daybed is twin size. It is always "out" as it is part of the room furniture. The Poly rooms are much larger then the ones at Dixie Landings and even a little bigger then the ones at the BC/YC so you can easily walk by the bed. It is up against one wall next to the armoire. There is also a table and chairs and two queen beds in the Poly room. The rooms really are huge and you can definitely walk around anything in them.

If I remember correctly, it is not full size. I think my son slept curled up. I wanted by smaller son to sleep on it my middle one wanted to sleep alone, he never complained about it so I must have been comfortable, probably twin size.

We stayed at the Yacht Club in June and my 17 year old daughter slept on the day bed. She absolutely loved it. She said it was very comfortable. It is twin sized and it is always out. You can use it as an extra couch during the day. There is plenty of room to walk by it when someone is sleeping.

Renessa, I just make reservations at BC yesterday and the size of the daybed was one of my concerns as well. I asked the CM if it's adult size and she said yes. I have an adult sized teenage son!

3littlepeas, we had two rooms at CBR in one of the preferred buildings at $159.00 a piece. When they told me they did not offer the AAA rate for my room category, I began to research other options. With the help of some very nice people on this board, I came to the conclusion that one room (there are 5 of us) would be more cost effective. The standard rooms at BC are 380 square feet and I was told that we should have no problems with space. The only drawback was not having two bathrooms, but at least we have Stormalong Bay and are in the middle of all the action!

castillo mom

we did both - I totally agree with you yc much better. do you know if YC room or BC room is bigger or are they both the same?

well guys...i just put a "on hold" for a room at YC (according to frommers, he prefers it over BC...I ALWAYS follow Frommers) I decided to "go crazy" and made it a water view as well....I think we got a decent deal (3600$ for the 5 of us...considering we'll be able to go to Disney Quest more than once....this is a great deal) I am excited and my girlfriend whose a BC/YC fan is green with envy......Let's hope we won't be too crowded....

Hey Threelittlepeas, does your hotel deal include any park entrances? did you book airfair seperately? it sounds almost too good to be true! Helen

my "deal" includes 5 UPH passes good for the days we'll be there (dec 6 to 14th). We booked our airfaire seperately b/c we had "points" on our credit card good for our 3 kids flights...so this is turning out to be a pretty "cheap" trip...but yes, the price I was quoted sounded pretty good for me and I just decided to put a "hold" on it for the time being and I will book it for sure next week since it is certain that we are going , if a "better deal" comes along I'll just change the code on this one.....

YEAH!!!! We're going to Disney!!!

Hey Threelittlepeas, I was wondering if your package was Concierge level? we have a package at YC concierge level - lagoon view, Unlimited Hoppers to the parks for 5 of us for just under $6,000.00. Your package sounds like a better deal! we are also going from 12/3 - 12/11. Helen

Luvdisney14, I'm not sure about the size of YC rooms, but BC rooms are 380 square feet. I heard the rooms at BC and YC are about the same but don't quote me on it.

Helen,
It is not concierge level, just regular water view.
It is part of the Winter dream maker pakage. Did you book with a travel agent or directly through CRO (or WDW)? I have noticed that going through a travel agent they charged me 4000$ (the travel agency mentioned on mousavers.com) for 400$ I guess I can book myself :smooth:
Hope this helps!
Julie

On our trip this July, DD brought her friend who slept on the daybed. It was very comfortable, and there was plenty of room.

We all joined the health club for the length of stay ($45 for all 5 of us), and this allowed us not only to use the equipment, but also the showers and bathrooms. It worked out better than I thought it would, and the bathrooms and shower facilities were very nice and clean!! Just another idea of how to get another bathroom!:)
