The Boardwalk studios now have a murphy bed for the fifth person, but there wasn't room for one in the 1BRs.

The BWV one bedroom only has a king bed and a queen sleeper sofa. You'll get four bath towels, two hand towels and four face cloths. Plus there will be a pack and play for any children under the age of three.

If the 5th person is elementary age or younger, I think 5 is doable. 3 young kids could sleep on the king while mom and dad do the sofa bed. Or one kids could sleep on the floor on top of the sofa cushions. Or a blowup mattress could be placed in the entryway. There are plenty of pillows in the unit. We usually have extra bedding in the entry closet as well.

The only problem with using the sleeper sofa cushions is that many of them are not flat. They have a ridge to fit in the back side of the sofa. So if you put the edge down, it doesn't lie flat. If you put the edge side up, it makes it hard to sleep. I know the sleeper sofa at AKV-KV has this style.

BWV sofa bed cushions (at least 1 bedroom villas) have the ridge on the seat cushions but the cushions for the back are large and don't have the ridge. This is still not a good solution except for a small child. But it is at least feasible. I feel for families of 5 because their options are so limited and 2 bedroom units do take quite a few points. I really think the blow up mattress is a cheap but workable solution, even for those who fly to WDW. My niece has had 3 little kids on the king bed. She and her hubby prefer to sleep in the living rooms so they can use the kitchen, washer/dryer, etc. while the kids sleep.

Thank you for all the replies. We are all set. I booked a one bedroom for four of us, two adults & two teens. I was wondering about adding a fifth person, if my adult son wanted to join us. He isn't able to come, so it all worked out.
