5 in a BWV 1 bedroom?

Is it true that Disney will allow 5 + 1 under 3 in a BWV 1 bedroom? I know the stated limit is 4+1 but I have read that they will allow 5, but won't supply bedding. Is this correct? I'm not worried about being crowded, I just need to know because we will be using DME.

It has always been my understanding that DVC would allow a fifth person in the one bedroom villas that officially sleep four, put not a fifth and a plus one under the age of three (to make six in the villa). They will only provide four bath towels, four sleeping spaces. You will need to provide anything needed for the fifth person to sleep if that person cannot sleep in the supplied pack and play.

The sleeper sofa is the type at BWV (and BCV) that has the cushions that are not removable and help support the foot of the bed. So you can't use the cushions as a sleeping surface for the fifth person. And, even if you are able to remove the cushions, they are not flat. They have a protrusion that fits in the groove on the sofa.

I don't think you can book 5+1 in a 1BR, but I have never tried to do so. We just stayed in a 2BR at BWV, 2adults and 3 kids, and I don't know how we would have managed in a 1BR without having one of our kids sleeping in the king bed with us. The villas at BW are not all that spacious and I don't think there was enough room for even a twin air mattress on the floor with the sleeper sofa pulled out.

MS will allow 5 of any age in the DVC 1 bedroom villas that officially sleep 4. It has never been 5 + 1 under 3. No extra bedding or linens are provided to accommodate that 5th person. Five + 1 is NOT allowed for the BWV 1 bedrooms.

Five +1 is allowed in the 1 bedroom villas that officially sleep 5 - BLT, AKV (except value), VGF and possibly OKW. I believe the sleep chair was added to OKW, but do not know if the maximum occupancy policy was officially changed or if MS policies changed.
