5 ft and under

Hugs I'm really glad I'm not the only one who hates shopping. Stores seem to think that if a women is short she is also a size 2 ahhhhhhhh.......

Opposite problem here. I'm not sure what is up with fashion designers - but most tall women I know are not a size 16. I probably wear a size 8, but have to wear a 10 or 12 for length, and then the clothes are falling off me everywhere else.

Wouldn't it be great if we could go back to the old days where everything was tailored to fit???

BTW, I shouldn't be answering this thread, as I'm 5'10". My mother was tiny though, about 5'2" and never weighed over 100 lbs. My sister and I took after my dad, I'm 5'10", she is 5'11". :)

I'm another 5 ft-er!:) I used to wear a size 5 shoe til I had kids! I think the extra weight I carried during those times smooshed my feet to a size 6! My son, 12, is taller than me and oldest DD, 10, wears bigger shoes than me! Oh well! Good things come in small packages!:bounce:

Hi! I'm another 4'11'' person. My DH is 6'2". I agree with petite clothing being too long! I always have to take up everything.

I'm 4'11 1/2" and yes, that 1/2 in. is very important. I used to wear a size 5 shoe, but after 2 kids, I'm up to a 6. I like having the size 6 shoe size because now it's easier to find shoes.

Awww...well I have to say when the minister told us to kiss, my DH did get down on one knee to kiss me. :p
Am I the only one here with a size 2 shoe??

I'm also just under 5' (4'11-3/4" to be exact!). I must look ridiculous because you all seem to have such tiny feet - mine are a 6 to 6 1/2 depending on the shoes! I also have trouble getting clothes to fit although for different reasons. Lets just say that petite stores seem to think that if you wear a size 2 you must also be a 32A. Unfortunately that is not the case with me! My DH thinks it's great but he's not the one who has the trouble buying clothes!

I am 4'10 1/2" too. My shoe size WAS a womens size 4 (compatible to a childs size 2), however after having my DD my feet grew and now I wear a womens size 5 (compatible to a childs size 3).

My DH is 5'9" so he is really not that much taller than me - at least I don't think so, but when we take a picture he seems to tower over me.

MY DD is only 2 1/2 but the doctor has already told me that she is going to be a peanut (she is only in the 5%).

I am glad I am not the only one under 5'!!

So many of you have said that after having kids, your feet grew. What happened to me??? There's just something wrong when I look at shoes and the selection includes Power Puff Girls!!

I'm 4' 11" also - and my husband is 6' 1". Finding clothes is not fun! I have actually been buying clothes in the kids departments when I can find something that is a classic style.

My feet didn't grow for a number of years after I had kids. I think I didn't buy a 6 til last year. My oldest was 11 at the time, my youngest, 7. It also happened to my neighbor but she is also a couple inches taller than me. What our kids put us through!;)
