Wondering if anyone else has looked into this package? I've priced it out separately for 3 adults and can't seem to find where I would be saving some money. It's cheaper for me to book the hotels separately and order the tickets from DL website. Looking at the Good Neighbour Hotel - Candy Cane Inn and BW Park Place with AAA rates.

Yes that is usually true. I've checked the packages through disneyland.com many times for good neighbor hotels and they don't match doing them seperate. Never once in the many times I've checked.

I book with costco and I don't think that I save money but got a couple of extras for the same price. I book the fairfield inn which is like $110 a night with costco is like $100 including taxes. is not a lot but something.

Write down how much it is separately and then with the package so you can check the difference. Good Luck

Thanks we can't book through Costco in Canada that I'm aware of. I usually book things directly with the hotel myself.

It's good to check hotels.com or Orbitz or what ever else you'd like to use, and then see if the hotel will beat it. Some can and some can't. I have seen these sites do 3rd night free and 25% off for stays of 4 and 5 nights. It's worth a shot.

You can book through Costco--I did and am in Winnipeg! Same price as booking through DL...but getting a $20 gift card, one character dining per person, and a few other perks.

How are you doing that? I was on the Costco.ca site and didn't see any links to travel other than Car rental.

If it's the same deal as booking through DL - it's no savings even with the extras thrown in. You can still do it cheaper yourself.

Costco.ca does not offer travel. You need to go to the US site. We booked room only on the summer promo and got our tickets through lastminutetravel. We are also using our GAD vouchers for this trip so it was a better deal for us for sure than a package. You do get some perks added on with the package but since it was just us girls this trip we didn't really need them.

We are staying at the Fairfield Inn in September. I priced out the hotel and tickets separately and the total for 5 days came to $1,069. I was able to book through Costco for $962 with the character dining and gift card included. Usually I do book everything separately but this time it was cheaper to do the package.

Also remember with package prices, the price includes taxes. When I priced things separately in prep for our trip, I couldn't figure out why my separate prices were so much cheaper than the package. That was why! I booked through Costco b/c the character meal bonus saves us $120.

Good point!
We saved approx 500 bucks booking seperately even with tax included but that was on the summer promo. The problem we also have to deal with is the exchange rate so for the people in the US it may be a deal but not as much for us canuckies:goodvibes

Sorry I didn't get a chance to reply earlier! Yes, we just called the Costco travel # on the Costco.com website. I was surprised when they said it can be booked from Canada--as long as you have a Costco membership. For us the perks were worth it; it's my husband and our 2 kids, so the character dining alone was worth over $100 for us. Also, we didn't feel like the GAD vouchers we had were worth it because the buy 3 get 2 free prices were a better option.

:)

Thanks for all the replies. I think I figured out part of my problem which I'm going to investigate further tomorrow. The hotels I was looking at are not part of the promo. This is not explained on the Disney site, but it is on the Costco site. So, going to cost out the hotels that are - that we might be interested in.

For the Canucks who have used Costco.com - how did you get documents or are there any documents?

The Character Meal offer thru Costco is it only for breakfast or is it possible to do Goofy's Kitchen dinner option?

This from the costco website:
†Premium Character Dining Experience includes breakfast, lunch or dinner at Ariel's Disney Princess Celebration (Disney's California Adventure Park) or Goofy's Kitchen (Disneyland Hotel). Other Character Dining locations also include Minnie & Friends Breakfast at Plaza Inn (Disneyland Park), Surf's Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends at Disney's PCH Grill (Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel), Chip 'n Dale Critter Breakfast at Storytellers Café (Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa). Tax and Gratuity included.

I am doing lunch at Ariel's Grotto :)

Thanks, everyone.

I did quite a bit of research today and decided to book things separately on our own. I figured out why I wasn't seeing any savings and it was because the hotels we were considering are not part of the promo. After investigating several of the hotels - I've booked us into the Candy Cane Inn with a AAA discount.
