What should have been an early flight into Orlando, turned into an early day at the office!
Quick background: Myself and DD11, quick jaunt into Orlando because the Toronto District School Board felt the kids deserved another day off! Got a great deal at the Crowne Plaza Resort. Booked it for 5 nights. Researched flights, Air Transat only flight in the wee hours of the morning on that Thursday. This would allow a full day without missing a heartbeat! Booked it. Booked car rental with them also.
A couple of weeks before our trip, informed that am flight is now a p.m. flight!
What do you mean my flight is 13 hours later! What do you mean I miss a whole day without compensation?
Note to self: Check out what suit would cause such a change. No suit but apparently combined three flights into one! And to accomodate all passengers, made it a late flight! Not good enough, they lost my business!
Bright side, one extra days pay to spend in Orlando!
Flight was uneventful but very full, 317 passengers in all. Even though what I thought was arriving early, everybody else got there before us. They did not even ask what seat. By the time we got there, we didn't have a choice! I guess nobody else decided to go to work! Good lthing used Park n Fly becuase going thru US Customs was almost an hour!
Uneventful flight. As usually luggage took a long time but at least the shuttle to Hertz was there. Got there before the majority of people so it took little time to get car. As predicted by myself, arrived at the Crowne Plaza at 1:30 a.m. Good thing I knew where it was, or it would have taken longer.
Unloaded car, went up to room, or shall I say Suite! I must really be tired! It's even nicer than the CBR! Look outside, see a balcony, go outside, WOW, look at that pool area! DD is too tired to appreciate. Her main concern is which bed is closer to the TV! Change into PJ's and fall into bed.
Day one is over, let's hope day two is better!
