5 days at parks- any options besides power pass?

I was thinking I could get the preferred AP and once at the park get a discount on the rest of my families power passes but have found out you can't get a discount on those. I could on 4 day passes but we need 5 days. We are from South Dakota and there is NO WAY we will be back in a years time. I am wondering if they would let you add one day onto the 4 day passes or not?

I don't understand your quandary.
4-day 1-park is $146
4-day 2-park is $160
Annual Power pass is $165 which is a 2-park pass
A 1-day 1-park ticket is $88 and 1-day 2-park ticket is $123

As long as you are avoiding the Power Pass blackout dates, what is the problem?
There is no cheaper way to add a day than $5 (or even $19).

I asked a question not intending to be made to feel stupid... Just trying to arrange vacation around blackout dates and trying to save money. BTW, rates are higher for non residents and i realize it is still cheaper to buy power pass . I can do the math.

They've done away with the 5 day ticket for some reason. There are a few options. The power pass is definitely good unless you are going in the black out days. The other option is the 3 park ticket that is good for 14 days at the parks. Here is the link to that (look down for 3 Park Unlimited ticket @ $179.99).

I agree, the 3-park 14-day pass seems like the way to go, especially if you're resistant to buying an annual pass.

My above pass costs were Florida, didn't notice that on the web site. The non-Florida Power Pass is $190 and the Preferred Pass is $260. Big difference.

Getting the 3-park 14-day pass for $180 seems much better since it is slightly less and you get admission to the City Walk clubs during the 14 days. The kids can't get in but the adults can. You may or may not care about the water park but it's there if you want it. Also, the park hopping from one park to the other throughout the day really is a nice advantage. Parking fees for the theme park/CityWalk parking garage is not included though.
